I actually saw few shorts of elden ring on TH-cam like 4 months ago and they were really cool. So i download this game play for hour I did not understand. Then i quit for next 4 months now this month i start playing again understand the game its really fun actually. I defeat godrik and also moon queen forget her name. I really wanted to do volanco manor mission but for weapon from serpant king i killed him befire completing the quest of volcano manor. Now i am try to defeat every are booses not only main story booses but also side booses then go to another location. I just finished ranni quest. One thing i dont like about elden ring is the location names are not mentioned on map even after we find the map of that area. Its only written if we have find the grace of that area. But overall good game

i think the main reason is the complex environment there is so much content in the game that understading it will takes week plus super hard bosess where each boss has different play style requiring different weapon/builds according to the boss which is overwhelming and kill the mood i like sekiro more than elden ring its just simple not builds, no weapons, no buffs just your trusted sword, your gourds and you are good to go for any battle ( i love the game where skills matters the most rather than builds and weapons)
