Day 5ish Cremona inspired guitar, I’ve only ever seen Wes Borland use them and they are pretty cool looking guitars After finishing the four string thing recently I thought let’s make a 6 string, it’s going to have an emg 89 and a Floyd rose speedloader bridge The body is heavily chambered and has a separate electronics cavity The tops back headstock olate and the back cavity cover is t’zalam w...

Look at that cheeky temptress swinging in the background...
Still gotta set that one up 🙄
That was like an ASMR video 😂😂 I went into a trance
@@Milehousestudios just trying something with this series, I figure shorter videos people might go okay yeah I’ll put that on
Love the parody shirt, Corey!
@@dougheckler2398 I’m a bit annoyed I got glue on it, otherwise it wouldn’t be a shed shirt
Lovin' the comin' together of this build, Corey!
Looks awesome as usual Corey. I love those top sets you find. Cant wait for the sound demo on this one. BTW when you glued the one neck. you clamped from the side was that just to pull it tight to the top of the pocket or was that resolving a slight alignment issue?
Just had to bring it back so everything lined up as best it could That burl was from a table top project I bought off Facebook
Hell ya man I love my cremona I got from you that thing looks sic! Im saving up $ right now, might be getting a hold of you again
Great work as always mate, you absolutely continue to push your boundaries and delivery top class instruments!
Thanks Owen that means a lot Can’t wait to follow your journey
How much does it weigh? Are you going to reinforce your walls to hang it up? 😜 or are you going to build a stand like the ESM? Looking forward to hearing it in Part 3 👍🤘🤘
Don’t know how much it weighs but the main part of the body is pine It’ll be hung up on two hooks on a dado rail so it should be enough to hang in there Should get part 3 out in at most a fortnight
@@saulgoodeguitars I know you’re a big boy but I bet your shoulder & back will recommend a stand if you’re playing longer than 5 or 10 minutes 😜 It looks great mate , can’t wait for Part 3
I dont know why but I always seem to pick out faces hidden in book matched burl. This is gonna be such a cool piece. Its got to weigh a hefty bit though once its finished I am guessing.
Oi how did I miss this.. or the one after i need to watch yet. These necks are crazy. I can see why you are over them. Thats super labor intensive but really cool visually. Hope all is well in your world mate. On to the next upload!
@@borgonianevolution yeah there is a part 1 maybe a month or 2 ago Things are all good here, hope you’re doing well
To be honest it’s probably going to be a wall hanger more than it’s played, it’s a bit chunky Still need to wire it and set it up
I get such a laugh out of your intro since finding out what it is you yell. You've really sold me on a drum sander too with this vid, going to order one up for myself next week I think. Great work as always mate, pleasure watching you build.
@@EntropiaGuitars I over use mine, it has a 40 grit belt on it and I just sand all the scratches out, and the best thing is no chip out Thanks for the kind words
Looks like you got some cool new toys in the workshop 👍 Disappointed it’s only gonna have two necks though 😜 but seriously no c**t plays double neck guitars unless they’re a wanker 😂😂
Can not believe I was the first to watch and give it a big thumbs-up. Been waiting for this one.
@@dougheckler2398 you’re always one of the first Doug and I appreciate it
@lehguitars on Instagram is where I seen the pencil trick and the ca glue Not sure if he was the og doing it or not
Nice work fella. Not surprised you’re over it. The time these multi laminates must take is mind blowing.
@@Doug-Niven yeah overcommitted, then. Had to buy a new bridge for this one, things haven’t worked out ideally but it’ll still be alright
I love these necks and, yes, everything stops for breakfast!
@@ChrisFranklyn 🤣 gotta put fuel in
looking good mate, the fretboard neck join is crazy
@@micksguitarsarecool thanks Mick, had to figure out a way to get them to look like that
I love seeing all the interesting wood types you have access to down in Oz - very different than my North American choices. I once was at a garage sale where the guy had a stack of redwood planks maybe 9-10mm thick. Would have made a cool drop top, but I was a little low on funds that week. I have never come across any others since.
@@dashdrum-again I love finding stuff to use that isn’t traditional, camphor laurel can look stunning and smells since I have a couple a tops that need projects
There is no doubt that your necks are absolutely unique Corey. Wonderful stuff! Cheers Dave
@@DaveDickens thank you Dave
Amazing!
@@shipyardskates thank you
Incredible the way you can visualise this. You are a zen master my friend
@@Doug-Niven I can’t really picture how they’ll turn out, the only time I get an idea is when I start to carve them
Really nice guitar. I live the shape and the layers. Great to watch you build, really awesome work Corey! Sounds awesome too. Cheers Dave
Really interesting mate, glad you’ve shared this. It messes with my head a little how you visualise how it’ll come together! Ive wondered a few times about routing into the back of the fingerboard so it’s great to see it can be done. Picked up a couple of practical things to try too, not least taping pockets shut - one of those why didn’t I think of that moments 😂🤦♂️! I also have band saw envy, mine always drifts.
@@fatpotanga I can’t really see what they’ll look like when I do them so it’s a happy surprise that they’ve turned out so nice Hahah the taped pockets, I got sick of picking chips out of my pockets even after washing those hoodies a few times
Another awesome build mate.
@@mre456 there’s some things I’d change if I tried again but thank you
Love it mate! Looking forward to seeing the end result.
@@rob9340 thanks mate, hopefully get back in the shed next week
These necks are insanely incredible! Don't think i have that much patience.
@@mre456 I didn’t think I had patience until I started doing the last few necks
dont think i appreciated how much work goes into those necks just insanity. a league of your own mate.
@@micksguitarsarecool too much work, honestly could probably Make about 4-5 fender guitars easily in the amount of time it takes for the glue ups and planing and settling of these necks
That’s an amazing build, thanks for sharing. The neck is mind boggling 🤩 I would have thought before watching your build that the neck would warp and twist because of the multiple grain directions, but I’m assuming the rod is strong enough to keep it straight? Thanks again, enjoyed watching you build 👍
@@joineryjohn6282 I’ve build a couple necks like this at least a year onwards with one of them and the neck is still mint Ideally I would have used carbon fibre but I was keen to try some aluminium Thank you for checking it out
Don't think I've ever had an oreo lol
@@nsjguitarsakascotsman6989 I don’t think I’ve had an Oreo but I’ve had other cookies with the contrasting cream in between them
Turned out great mate. Lovely looking guitar, and you make it all look easy.
@@EntropiaGuitars ah this one was far from easy, the glue ups, the neck I had from ages ago and I didn’t clamp it to something flat, I only clamped it to itself and ended up having a bow in it or something
I like the look and the name. It does look like you could easily take a bite outta that body and taste the choclate.
@@borgonianevolution name came from the mrs, I think there’s areas that could be improved upon
@@saulgoodeguitars Other than hitting the carves "Sweet T" perfect down to the 1/10th of a mm I think it looks awesome. The wood colors flow nicely and the darker wood actually does look like chocolate in between layers
@@borgonianevolution not sure what all of that means but 👍
@@saulgoodeguitars It means ya did AWSEOME. Unless you feel the need to redo it all over what ever you said could be better.
that has to be the mightiest fret slot cutting saw ever lol. Killer guitar as always, nice and simple.
Samurai Slot Cutting!!! Its a THING!
@@micksguitarsarecool 🙌
@@micksguitarsarecool not sure what you are meaning but the fretboard was already slotted from temu For the other cuts, I couldn’t be bothered about getting another saw from the rack
Great to get a idea into the process, you take. Thanks.
@@rob9340 the me for checking it out, if you have any questions more than happy to answers them
you doin the lords work 🙌
@@VERMACIDE ah I’m just bored but thank you
Mate I'm taking a break from editing and watching this. The wife has got 50 shades of Grey on the big screen and I didn't look up at the porn once!😂😂 Tons of crazy in that neck. I love it and the top is perfect. Favourite part was when you said all your future "Jurgscup builds"...That means we get to do it over again. Quality.
@@Milehousestudios oh yeah there will be future ones, I just hope people jump into the Jurgs cup The crazy necks are a lot of work but rewarding when they are carved, I have another couple In the works I should squeeze out another Jurg’s build so there’s a theme with it Thanks for checking it out and for your part in this years Jurg’s cup
@@Milehousestudios 🤣 probably one of the times you wouldn’t be trouble looking at the porn 🤣
Another awesome tribute to Jurgen mate. Doesnt seem to have balance issues with all the glue in the neck and it certainly will never twist or warp. Leaves room for upgrades with the frets and the electronics so it can only get better. I like that top idea. May have a play with some of my 70's era concert shirts at some point.
Not sure but my reply does t seem to be Showing up I was speaking to someone else about resining your shirts and having them as art Totally makes sense especially if they are wearing out too much
Love it. The neck looks amazing. And that you have given the middle finger to electric guitar luthiery and snobbery.
🤣 I think people get hung up on the tradition guitar woods, and people get too comfortable with what they do These necks take plenty of time to make, going back to making a regular neck almost feels like I’m cheating now Thanks for checking it out
@@saulgoodeguitars Super inspiring mate. I want to start making my own guitars, and I really like seeing people try a different approach.
@@rob9340 appreciate it and you should but look out making one is never enough 🤣
super amazing work! unshielded cavities no bueno
Single coils without a doubt needs shielding, sometimes I’ll shield humbuckers, sometimes I won’t There’s no hum here so I don’t feel the need to
Another awesome build Corey.
Thanks Ian, been sitting on it for a while, got a second body blank rough cut
you might be the first one finished at this rate!
Hahaha yeah Niel don’t count
Absolutely smashed it Corey, looks awesome 🤘
Thanks Barry, took a while to like the body shape, already got another one cut up
@@saulgoodeguitars you're an unstoppable machine lol I'm struggling to get my first one done and you're on ya 3rd or 4th
Fuck yeah, chevelle! Awesome axe, mental neck, sick soundhole, winner all round!
Early ish Chevelle is awesome for drop b stuff
Saul Good had some scraps of wood.. Some cant use them any more...Chucked it up in his old drill... Feels like he's knobbin in his ole shop. Knob Knob Knobbin out in the shop Knob knob knobbin out in the shop ha ha ha haha Choo. Can ya tell what songs been in my head the last three days?
🤦♂️ 🤣
@@saulgoodeguitars You inspire thingz!!
Were you sneezing? Sure I heard sneezing lol
Yeah had a mask on the whole time and sneezed a few times
Who needs a lathe!?!
Not me
Another ripper axe!
Thanks Billy
that fretboard is awesome, guitar turned out love, dive it!
Call me crazy but softer woods for fretboards are awesome
Strange floyd stringing from the rear like that. Guitar looks cool
It’s a speed loader, not sure why they stopped making them, don’t have to clamp the string down at the bridge which I think is a big advantage
