why are we afraid of making bad art?
WOW ITS BEEN HALF A YEAR. WHOOPS.
this is the closest i'll probably ever get to a super "controversial" commentary video so don't expect anything like this in the long run. god only knows what other stupid things ill pull on this channel. to be fair this video isn't the most coherent either and the biggest reason this rant exists is because i needed something to keep y'all engaged while i hunched over on my floor for 10 minutes LMAO
i know i keep saying that i'll post more on my instagram and then not doing it but i really am trying to be more active on it. i've got some things in the works that aren't big enough for full videos but will very likely make it onto there or in the shorts tab of this account

Great video! I couldn't agree more. The "bad art" I make is some of my favorite stuff.
I resonate with a lot that is being said in this video. For me, a large reason why I started drawing was to communicate how I felt and my desire to engage in a community that I admire. So it’s hard when I create pieces that I don’t find up to my level of quality because then I can’t accomplish my goal of making something to share. Though it’s short sighted because in the long term, developing skills will help me theoretically in the long run to make more successful pieces. Thank you for making this video - I really enjoyed it!
I always try to see art as the journey to the end result, not the actual results you get at the end. Art is the form of creation. The path to anything you are trying to make. :)

I'm also a mostly-beginner with blender, but I'm guessing the issues with the giraffe are UV map/texture related. That's the area am currently trying to learn more about myself. But I'm sure it is like anything else in blender--seems overwhelming at first, and then slowly starts to make sense.
