He was correct in his interpretation of the Nephilim in Genesis 6. I assume you know that many think that the "sons of God" in Genesis 6 are fallen angels and that they had relations with the daughters of men. Their offspring are the Nephilim "giants" of that chapter. I was saved in 1977 and had never heard this interpretation until a few years ago and frankly, it shocked me because it's dead wrong. Angels cannot reproduce. You will search until your eyes fall out of your head to find a single verse that teaches that heresy. I have believed for most of my Christian life that it was the sons or descendants of Seth who intermarried with the ungodly "daughters of men" who are descendants of Cain that led to the earth being so filled with violence and corruption that God had to send a worldwide flood and wipe out all but one family who were believers. You can look in all the commentaries and hear many sermons on this subject that state that the Nephilim were huge giants who were the offspring of FALLEN Angels and human women. If you believe that it's your prerogative, but you will be wrong. It simply is not true and is a HUGE heresy that has been around for centuries. The book of Enoch, a book of heresy, spreads this nonsense and I would not follow anyone who teaches it as if it were true. The giants mentioned in verse 4 of Genesis 6 are the so-called Nephilim from the Hebrew word for giants. They were NOT demons and human offspring. I truly hope you don't believe that garbage. Hi. Initially in Genesis 1:3 God call for the source of light (singular) to appear, which gave light on the earth. In Genesis 1:14 God made lights (plural) which are the sun, moon, stars, etc. A simple analogy would probably be lighting a single match which would be akin to Genesis 1:3, then using that match to start multiple fires which would represent the sun, moon, stars Genesis 1:14. @@davidgardner863 are you aware that light can exist without a source? In my previous comment i said that according to Genesis, God made the 'initial light' (which does not require a source). Afterwards he made sources for the lights, sun, stars, etc.
