Wow! Beautiful😍
Trying not to be so hard on you but your cuticles need some love. Makes the whole hand look unprofessional. That being said. I love the fact that you are putting yourself out there. I know you are new. That’s great because everyone these days pretends they are so “pro” that they spend so much time “teaching” when they aren’t even licensed to do nails. Good for you gurl! Keep having fun and try new things. Just be honest and play. Hope people are respectful and lifting you up. Happy holidays. Loved your ice crystal nails, have to try that myself.
Yeah I don’t care if my hands look unprofessional. I’m a DIYer having fun on TH-cam ✌️ If someone doesn’t like my cuticles they don’t have to watch my videos.
Love them. Amazing well done 👏
Thank you so much! 💖
Icicles is something else, this is cracked ice. As for the snowflakes are any other decals you may put on your nails that might be ruined by the formulation of the clear gel coat.... I suggest using a quick dry clear coat from any old Dollar or 99 cent or 1.25 cent Store... or anywhere then use your clear gel top coat or otherwise protective coat to lock that in. Now, unless the brand that you're using is one of those Saviland healthy formulations with castor oil vitamin E oil and whatever, it should work. Since gel nail polish is basically an uncured epoxy it is almost certain to kill any decals you may put on and tried to cover with a non air dry clear coat. I'm a 62-year-old ex-professional beauty operator. I know stuff.
My dear, on the t e m u app, I have found so many products you would not believe and I have definitely overspent to the point that I am going to open up a little shop in my backyard and call it just girlfriends doing nails or something to that effect , LOL, anyway my point to my comment is that there is at least two types of guards that you can fit on your finger to help you avoid touching the Polish to the sides of your nail Dash you should be pretty good at keeping it off the top part of your cuticle but when you slay the brush to paint the sides is when it gets difficult for me so I have used the guides and then I discovered that there is a paint on product made of very lightweight latex that she can paint around your nails on your skin to completely avoid that and especially if you are using any spider web techniques.... and then you just pull the latex off. Yes you just roll it up and pull it off,
Girl, you did absolutely amazing. These are so cute. -Nail Tech ❤
Aww thanks!!! ☺️💖
Nail tech here and as other have said in the comments, yes please make sure you wipe the nails with alcohol to get the sticky/tacky layer off before applying the stickers you did amazing these are super cute
Thank you!! I’m loving all the tips in the comments! So helpful!
Oeh I have a good hack for those stickers. Put a extremely thin layer of basecoat on the sticker and wrap a piece of clingfilm around (smoothly, no creases), than cure. It'll smooth out any edges. You don't even need a full cure, 10-20 seconds will do
What a great hack!! I’ll be trying that for sure! Thanks for sharing 💖
I think their cute nail polish WTG
Thank you! 💖
Just make sure to use alcohol on your cleanup brush rather than acetone. Acetone spreads the gel around
I didn’t know that! Thank you for this important tip😅 much appreciated!!
I've been doing gel nails for 2 years now. If i showed you how it looked when starting out It'd be hilarious. Now I'm constantly being asked who does my nails 😊 it takes a heck of a lot of practice to do anything well, of course. I'm interested in how you progress, so +1 subscriber ❤
Thank you!! That’s awesome! I hope I can get to a point someday where people think my nails are professionally done 🤞
I paint my nails before sticking them on, that way my hand/nails are not going under the UV lamp. Your icicle nails are coool xx
Thank you!! And great tip! 😊
Very gorgeous! I don't do gel polish, but I'm trying to formulate a way to do it w/ regular polish after watching this.
Oooh! I’d be sooo curious to see how this trend would turn out with regular polish. Good luck!!
Beautifully done. ❄️❄️💙New subbie. 💙💙
Thank you so much! 💖
It turned out so good 🙉
Thank youuuu 💖💖
Ive been a licensed manicurist since 2002 & trust me, im ALWAYS learning, DIY'ing and testing stuff out. especially on a budget! Since i don't do it full time and trends are always changing, its a constant learning curve. And just a little secret 😉a lot of the "expensive" products are the same cheaper products, just white labeled. Not all, but more than many people realize. I am getting ready to launch my press on business and have learned more about all this in the last year than i have the last 20. Keep going, you're doing great! If doing the crinkle under the nail brothers you because of the texture, you can do it on top and encapsulate it with your gelly polish then a thicker top coat. It helps add more depth, dimension & strength too!
Thank you and thank you for the tip of doing on top and encapsulating it! I will definitely try that out of curiosity. Good to know about the products too!! Are there brands that you would say are always worth it though?
This is my first time watching your videos. Very nice!!! I started doing my nails in 2020 when Covid hit. I’m so obsessed with anything nails😂😂😂. My poor husband’s going to have to buy me a she shed for all of my nail stuff 😂😂😂. Have fun with everything you do 🌹. Happy holidays to you 🌹🌹🌹😊
Thank you!! lol yassss a she shed for nail stuff would be amazing 😄 happy holidays!
Start the prep again on the thumb. It looks like it has some oil on it.
Yeah I don’t think I wiped it well enough the first time 😅
Stickers don't like the sticky layer for gel polish. Next time you use stickers, try putting a very small drop of gel rhinestone glue in the spot where you want the sticker. Not only will it freeze the sticker in place after you cure it, the glue will also act as a slip layer to allow you to move the sticker to the exact position you want on the nail. This is great when working with your non-dominate hand that always seems to get stickers stuck in the wrong place. Also, there are a lot of gel glues that are No Wipe, so using them to make your ice effect won't leave a sticky layer behind. Try to avoid putting top coats over the ice effect so it won't take away from the peaks. If you feel you need to, apply some Chrome Powder before top coating to maximize the effect.
and it goes without saying, you did an amazing job!
This is SO helpful!! Thank you! I’m excited to try it again with these tips, especially the tip of using rhinestone glue with the stickers 😁
Thank you!! 😊
How did you fix the underside of the nail from ot touching your skin & removing the sticky layer
I used cuticle cutters to trim away any excess glue but next time I would be more careful not to get it so close to the tip of my finger. And I just use alcohol to get rid of the sticky layer. Thanks for leaving a comment! 💖
I love it but I wonder doesn’t the gel bother you under the nail ? With stuff like food sticking to it and so on ? I clean my nails with a brush after I eat or before I cook etc! Any tips do you put a top coat after so it’s not sticky? I’m also a beginner ❤
Honestly, these were “just for fun”nails for me! I applied them using nail glue stickers so I only wore them for an evening and then I easily removed them. I don’t know if I could wear them for longer than that 😅 But yes, I did use alcohol to remove the sticky layer. Thanks for leaving a comment! 💖
@ ohh ok 🤣 makes sense! I couldn’t do it either with gel under my nails! Thanks for the tips on using nail stickers and alcohol 🙂 they looked very cute! 🥰
Very magical ❤love them😊
Thank you so much!! 💖💖
They came out so cute! You did a Great job!! :)
Thank you!!! 💖
They look soo cute! I'm also new at doing my nails. And most of my stuff is from Shein/Amazon too. You're doing greeeat i love theem. 🐻❄⛸
@@angei8668 thank you so much!! 😊💖
I like the 2 coats of white better, it's like an icicle hanging out of the snow
I agree! The two coats definitely gives a more snowy vibe ❄️ Thanks leaving a comment! 💖
If you wipe the nail down with alcohol before applying the stickers, they will stick better. Cute nails!
That is SO helpful!!!! Thank you for sharing I will most definitely do that next time 🩷🩷🩷
Found you on Reva. New sub looking forward to your content.
@@OnceanOrphan thank you so much! 😊
Its really really pretty! For me tho the stuff under the nail will drive me crazy lmao. But i love it!
Thank you!! I ending up trimming the glue under the nails so it wasn’t resting on my skin and that made it comfortable 😊
Hi, I love the design, but I have a question, is it uncomfortable to do that under your nails?
Thank you!! Yes and no lol, when I first applied the glue it was touching the tip of my fingers but after curing I used cuticle cutters to trim the glue away from my finger tip and then it was comfortable and it didn’t affect the look of the nail.
OMGGGGGGGGG PERFECT so cute niceeeeeeeeeeee
Thank youuuu ☺️❤️
Very Nice thanks for sharing, so creative!!💅🏾♥
Thank you! 😊❤️

I’m the same as you! Had my nails done for years and decided to invest in quality products and start doing my own nails. Love doing them but sometimes pick designs that take me hours and hours! I came here to say the same thing! The result looks pretty cool. Happy accident, maybe? As to why it turned out that way-???? No clue 😂
now I think I’m going to try them again but be more intentional with a splatter look 😆 so funny how I didn’t see them that way until it got mentioned in the comments 😅
Ngl it kinda looks cool like splatter art
