This must be an older version of FFX, or not the remaster. The opponent chocobo in my remastered version finishes the race by ~33 seconds, and is much faster. By the time I jump down from the second chest, he's already past me, and in your vid he only pops in on the left by the third chest. In all the videos of people who 'did it', the race lasts about 39 seconds, but my opponent consistently finishes the race by around 33 seconds. Edit: Just did a few more timers (another 8 times). Didn't run, just stood still at the entrance and checked how long it takes the other chocobo to finish: Fastest was 32.4 seconds Slowest was 33.6 seconds So there is some variation, but no where near 39 seconds like in most vids I see

Helpful tip for those playing when he says you can just do that with the pedestal NO YOU CANNOT. You immediately go back into cutscene and can't go back. So do the destruction sphere before placing the pedestal.

My tips: Smash the button coming up to chests. Err on scraping/glitching/ramming the inside wall rather than outside, especially at the beginning. Hold 1~2 o’clock on the analogue stick when jumping down at that awkward junction after chest 2 and 3, When going up hill for chest 5, the green pole seems to not like you getting close on the incline, but it doesn’t so much mind you cutting the corner or getting close to it up top. Hold hard 9 o’clock when cutting the other chocobo off. The aim is to nudge him backward, if it’s close, ramming straight across his path is your best shot.

It’s kind of a waste because you’ll never *truly* need it. But a nice use of three stars is x5 to teach aeons doublecast. (i.e., one ~aga to fully heal, and then another cast to attack with.)

Found all these before back in PS2 days, then i lost my note book with all the codes 😭😅 but thanks for this as found them all again 🤣 One of my Fave FF games

thank you, made it easier. however on the 2nd floor, when u go thru to the 2nd one, u want to time ur start based on the direction of the arrow. your arrow rotates around left forward and right. that arrow rotates between forward and right. if u start your travel when the 2nd path's arrow is right then it makes it easier to get into. specifically when ur travelling from the point illustrated at 4:06. thats why u have an edit cut at 4:17 (Cuz u missed it, when u went, it was pointing straight. had you waited one more rotation on your orb, it would have been pointing right, and it would have been pointing right when u arrived making it easier go proceed inwards.) im not saying this is bad. im jus trying to make it easier on anyone else following. still thank you for the help.
