I never imagined it would haunt me this way so many decades later. It’s like creating something and then having it turned and used against you as a weapon. It was never my intention to cause harm.

I'm so sorry! Im in the same situation- all those songs about anorexia, who are just people venting their feelings being used for this disgusting pro ed bullshit! This is a beautiful song, and it hurts to see it being used in harmful ways.

also just cuz it's your song, doesn't make it your fault. If it's not this song they use, it'll just be another. Please don't blame yourself over this.

Its a satirical song about the eating disorder called "Anorexia Nervosa." Many in the 'pro-ana' community misinterpret it to be a song they can rally behind -I am also guilty of doing this- even though the singer herself meant for it to be a bitingly ironic song about how the disease doesn't promote beauty but promotes fight, madness, obsession, and even leads to death -tightness and tightness in me, it's so serious is a line that refers to the heart attacks and inability to breath at times anorexics go through which is the second most common killer the number one most common killer of anorexia is suicide which is where the 'make me bloodless' part comes in as in many of the Pro-ana communities there is a degree of self-harm that encourages cutting when you eat to stop you from eating at all it's what we in psychology call 'conditioning fear' so that eating becomes associated with the pain of cutting. Most people cannot sustain this lifestyle and the depression caused by the brain shutting down usually leads to suicide by Slashing the wrist. Hope this cleared it up for you. It isn't satanic by any means. It IS however a song that is bitingly sarcastic even though it is taken out of context by the anorexic community

Right?! My ex use to always get frustrated. He's thin but has a high metabolism so he eats a lot. I on the other hand can't get myself to eat. I can look and something and be like " aww yea that looks so good" but when it's actually in my hand I feel disgusted. It's not a fun or a good way to live life.
