    My favorites are HiyaHiya but I own and use both HiyaHiya and ChiaoGoo. The HiyaHiya tips are very sharp and fast. I haven’t had any issues because of the joins on either set. They’re both great sets! Thanks for the review.

Still, as I Am getting ready to Journey to the local yarn shop to pick both or one set of 16 inch cables, I need a choice to make. I do have ChiaoGoo Red Lace needles in US6 24; US8 32. Just a suggestion, try looking at the Lochby tool roll. I'm considering it for my art supplies.

    That pen case is sooo cute! It reminds me of my Sendak artist roll. I also have the Sendak mini and my tombows fit perfectly in both sizes.

    I def like the larger Yuru case --- liked it so much that I ordered one from Yuruliku directly. I should've ordere from Baum since Yuru says it will take 1 --> 2 weeks to ship. :) But I am patient. Just now starting my 1st bujo so I have time to research. It'll be a while before I have tools to load in the flat case. :) Cheers. | @freshouttafocus

    Sorry all is very interesting but you knit too fast to teach and didn’t put the needles in front of the camera, you put them underneath the camera so I can’t see very well the thing, I only have a view from the top and that isn’t very helpful…

    I bought a set of Hiya Hiya. After using them for a single project, I ended up returning them. I am a Chiaogoo circular knitting needle girl all the way. I have the big set, the blue set of shorter tips, the red minis and I have purchased several extra cables. I've heard a lot of other knitters complain about Chiaogoo having 3 different cable sizes (not to be confused with length). I like the different cable sizes. I feel like my projects move better on Chiaogoo sized cables because they are sized to go inline with the needle sizes. I love the blue 9" blue cables for making my own Chiaogoo version of the flexi-flips.

    Wow that’s a horrible case for HH. I just purchased (2021) a 5in HiyaHiya sharp set and the case is much better. It has individual slots for all the needles and extra slots for additional needles. I love mine. The HiyaHiya seem to be smoother. Their cable spins at the base to avoid cable tangling. Very convenient. My cables don’t do what yours did. I do not have to boil them at all. Tried ChiaoGoo, but I didn’t like the way they felt in my hand.

    Thanks for making this video. I know you may not read this post. I hope this post help someone else out. I have a few interchangeable set, as well as the fix set. Square needle which was very pricey. The Kollage square needle came in fix and interchangeable needles. There are two different types cable firm cable and loose cable with a click to join. Knit Picks wooden, wooden square and a small needle kit which I have gotten all the cable lengths. The knit pick are really nice, but the cable seem come off the needle. Knitter pride zing are really nice, can't say anything wrong about these, these needle are one of go to when knitting. Mindful collection by Knitter pride is one of my go to for knitting. They have both fix and interchangeable needles. Which I like both, sharp needles, nice join on cable, they both have 2 different types of cable. The fix needle are great too, nice join. I have the Addi fix in Turbo, Turbo lace, and Rockets. Addi are not my favorite but I still use them in fix needles. I have hiya hiya which I have not found a use for them since I bigger cable lengths and smaller needle with a biger size needle. There bamboo fix needle in a few different lengths, needle sizes which I haven't come to love yet all because the cable are really firm. I do like the chiaogoo fix needle even though the bamboo one has a really firm cable in this brand. I like how the yarn works up quickly on the bamboo needle. I like the red lace needle in chiaogoo, a bit slippery when working with cotton yarn. Yarn works up quickly and join is nice. This brand is one of go to. My other go to brand is loop and threads fix needle from Michael craft store. The brand is really nice and join nice, works up nicely with any yarn. Cable isn't to firm A cheap needle if you are learning to knit. I have other fix needle from hobby lobby which I don't like. Thanks again for making this video.

    I got the 4 inch by accident and I’m a very beginner knitter. I do not like them. After your review, I am going to try the 5 inch. I had thought about going to another brand, but a lot of the reviews keep pointing back to the Chiagoo. Thank you so very for your time and very straight forward opinion.

    I agree with everything u say about the Hiya hiyas. I’m disappointed with them, and they are expensive.

  • @nadzoll
    @nadzoll 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the Hiya Hiyas, and with the shortest length cable, the stitches snag at the connection. I even purchased one more to see if it was faulty, and IT still snags as well. Yes, they can fall out of the case (mine is almost square in shape). I didn't realize that my Hiyas swiveled until your video, nor did I notice how that swivel works while knitting in the round or magic loop. I'm thinking of purchasing the ChiaoGoos. Also, not only is that little hole on the connector of the HiyaHiyas or ChiaoGoo to put your key in for attaching (I didn't get one with my HiyaHiyas), but it's a lifeline hole! Thank you for your review! I just need to learn about the separate attachments better. Hugs!

    the thimble was designed to help people hold their yarn with their left hand (unless you are right handed) to be able to knit the Norwegian way. Norwegians don't use them for the most part. I am scandinavian and have never seen one of these until recently. So i've been researching!

  • @hannah1327
    @hannah1327 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    ChiaoGoo are best needles ever- I have all the sets. I also have HIyaHiya and don't like them nearly as much. My HH came in a small red case and it does the exact same thing- needles falling everywhere Also, they are too sharp and hurt my fingers. On a another note, I bought a few Signature Needle Art needles which are about $40 a piece (!!)and while those are the smoothest needles ever, they are so sharp that they literally made my fingers bleed and the cords were not nearly as nice as the ChiaoGoo. Chiao Goo with the red lace cords are simply the best.

    All of the needle sets are very expensive in Australia, especially after currency conversion, freight and GST. Therefore, one needs to choose wisely. I agree, after using 3 other brands, I am sold on Chiaogoo needles and especially the no kink cables. I have the minis and the complete red twist set. Not sorry at all, and so now getting the blue set of shorties so that I can manage circular knitting for sleeves and baby beanies.
