Don't let imposter syndrome stop your interview success!
Is your self-doubt limiting your ability to perform your best in your next interview? 😢
Have you practiced visualization techniques before? How'd it go?!
lol , Don’t do it . Pre-recorded video interviews are a waste of time and show a lack of respect for the candidate.
@@volkanyalim-g5x except that you can't get the in person interview until you pass the one-way video interview 🫠
Do we need an interviewer there?! 😮
Sometimes, we might think it's not going well, but we can be our own worst critic.
Have you had a one-way video interview not go as planned?
If someone is asking for video of me interviewing myself, I'm just gonna pass. They want me to perform circus tricks, they have to pay for my time.
@Bezem1944 These types of interviews are becoming so common that it's going to be harder and harder to say no! Instead of seeing it as circus tricks, think about the benefits it has for job applicants. You can record it at a time that's convenient for you, in a familiar environment, and you don't have the stress of seeing negative non verbal feedback from the interviewer!
@@MasterYourInterview but I want face to face interview. I'm interviewing the company the same way they interview me. If they want one-way interview that is a huge red flag. Different kind of positions will require different videos to be made to talk about certain aspects of job I apply for that time. This doesn't save time nor makes it less stressful. If I was applying to be an actor, sure, but if I apply to be a corporat then it's my experience in resume that should be taken into account, not my skills of acting and talking to a wall in empty room. I don't see many of those types of interviews, but those will be as common as we allow this.
@Bezem1944 but don't forget that these are never used alone to hire. It's only ever the first round of interviewing that is used to determine if the organization should bring you in for the next round! You'll have your chance to interview them during later, in person rounds.
@@MasterYourInterview exactly, that makes it pointless circuts act. Resume should be enought to decide if they want to start the interview process. Otherwise it's just disrespectful. Either we engage in interview and both sides interview each other or not.

Can the software detect if im reading ready made answers?
Well it depends if it's a person or AI viewing your video interview. Either way, it is pretty obvious when job candidates read a script, not only because it sounds unnatural (no mistakes), but because your eyes move across the screen on a way that's detectable. If you feel like you need notes, keep them to very brief point form!
@@MasterYourInterview Thank you, you can use NVIDIA Broadcast to keep eye contact lol
@@Inter-stelar oh can you tell me more about that?
@@MasterYourInterview its an AI filter for your webcam that's make your eyes looks like they are always looking at the camera. it works pretty good. Just Google NVIDIA Broadcast App, also I'm not sure if its working for Mac, just Windows with Nvidia graphics...

Who i am is overworked with a messy house. Love it or hire someone who has nice art and plants
@Zeena5400 fair enough!! All you need is a clean enough background, so sometimes taking 10 minutes to do that can make all the difference!
Great video!
Awesome!
Thanks for the great advice! Do you have any tips for people who struggle to express themselves concisely?
This is a great question and definitely warrants its own video, for those who have the opposite problem... squeezing your response into the 2 minutes can be tough! Thanks for the video idea!
@@MasterYourInterview Thanks!
Interesting !! Madeline if making big money in corporate world as engineer or in general is the only goal which path is the most suitable to adopt and how like earning promotions quicker, climbing ladder etc or remaining in same position ? Also how is it possible for me in initial stage of career to demand promotions or high pay after 6 months or a year by solving any of their major problems.. does creativity or innovation thinking examples work drastically well in advancing rapid growth...
@mohibquadri4053 I think these questions relate well to your other comment about how to advance quickly in your career. Building strong communication skills that allow you to demonstrate how you've contributed to the company's growth is vital. As well, working on self-development skills outside of work, like through LinkedIn learning, can also show that you want to grow fast in your career.
one question which always came in my mind is - How can an individual play an important or outstanding role in making his company a top player in market lets say an engineering construction company.. what are contributions which can lead to faster growth of company from an employees perspective who wish to skyrocket his own career path also in the journey.. which books would be essential around this topic...
Great questions! These are more related to career development or career progression topics, however, I have some things to consider. Performance feedback with your boss/supervisor is a time to highlight what you've accomplished. Throughout the year, keep detailed notes about projects you've worked on, initiatives that you've taken, and feedback you've received from others about your performance. Having tangible results (e.g., emails, written conversations) that highlight how you've helped the company will lead to career growth. Remember that the company may not see all of the things you do all the time, so it's important that when it is your time to shine - you highlight what might have been missed. Additionally, saying yes to opportunities that come along (rather than being hesitant or defaulting to no) will also be beneficial. You never know who you'll meet on that project or the connections you might make which will provide insights or skills that will help you advance your career. Remember that everything takes time!
@@MasterYourInterview Thanks a Million 💚😊
@@MasterYourInterview One more query i forgot to ask - as you've mentioned being assertive with boss and highlighting our work results which books or articles will help for tactful strong communication skills and convincing ability in such scenarios where our career progress is on stake.. which top communication and assertive skills book are essential..
@@mohibquadri4053 "Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes are High" is one of the best-known books in the coaching sphere on navigating difficult conversations.
