@ob1182Goldwing yes. By far, the hardest clutch I've ever done. She runs nice now.

did you prep your engine before painting at all? and what paint did you use? very interested in doing this to mine
@joe7_7 yes. I degreed it, power washed it, used 1can of Eastwood 2k engine primer and 2 cans of Eastwood 2k black engine paint.
Love it!❤
Where did you get the black controls? Or you painted?
@@Follow_picasso i painted them
If I PayPal you could you make me one I have a 2007 bond shadow vt750
@mrworldwide6770 would have to have the bike to measure the distance between the two bootsand he Diameter of the boots. I have a 2003 vt750 here but im not sure if the measurements would be the same.

Good morning were can I find a single intake for my 07 Honda shadow vt750
@mrworldwide6770 im not sure you can find them very easily. I saw one online. I believe it's in the 🇬🇧 UK However, it does not say what year VT750 it fits.
@@Lirvic86cv thanks for getting back to me do you know anyone that could make me one by chance
I'm looking to do the same. Do you have a parts list? Especially the seat. Thank you...great build!

Hello, I am VERY new to motorcycles and I've been given one of these that is basically in pieces. Any advice on where to start? I was thinking about taking apart what is still together and starting from the ground up, but IDK if that's the best way to go about seeing what I'm missing/ what's functional. Also if this isn't a good bike to START my journey with please LMK! thanks. (edit) I know this post is from July 2022 but it's the first video I came across. I don't expect a quick response if any. Thanks again!
Make sure the bike is running before you start to work on it. parts for these bike can be expensive and hard to find sometimes.
@@Lirvic86cv Like I said it's kind of in pieces although it does roll and seems to have all the important bits; the frame, engine, driveshaft?, forks/handlebars, wheels and tires, and a box of miscellaneous stuff. Tank, exhaust, headlight, foot rest pegs. Missing a battery I'm pretty sure. I didn't see if anything is MISSING off the engine, but it looks mostly there. Just wasn't sure if I should take it apart and clean and\or make sure its not locked up first. Don't know the steps of restoration/maintenance on this stuff. Also I LOVE what you did with yours.

What's the relay issue with the blinkers? Do they need online resisters installed because it's an older bike?
Not sure. I haven't even tried yet but the turn signals stay on and won't flash. They were flashing with the stock turn signals.
@Lirvic86cv I'm having issues with my 04 vt1100c, the blinkers were converted to led and they all 4 blink like hazards no matter which way you turn em. From what I can research, they need inline resisters I believe so that's a distinct possibility
@joshmurray1557 i had the same problem with my vstar 1100. I just removed the indicator bulb on the Tripple tree and it will solve that problem. Sometimes changing that bulb with an LED one fixes it. But removing it definitely fixes it.

What paint did you use on that? Im building a bobber and was thinking of doing a similar paint i found from rustoleum in a can
Yes. It is the rustoleum color shift. Make sure to use a black primer, or i won't show.

Acouto Motorcycle Speedometer 12V Universal Motorcycle LCD Display Instrument Digital Speedometer Odometer Tachometer Meter Gauge Black Plating a.co/d/29gs2VQ
Thank you sir appreciate it!
@jmarquez808 it will have to be mounted somewhere on the side. Speedometer cable for these bikes comes from the rear wheel hub to the tank mounted Speedometer, that makes the cable too short to reach and wont reach the handlebars or Tripple tree.
@Lirvic86cv yah I noticed that with almost everyones builds. Thanks for the heads up, Mines just like you said your was. It's completely trashed and rusty lol
thanks mate ive been racking my brains on how to get a filter on the side without all the plastic shite on my 600 shadow should work
Did you use the crank case breather banjo thing to mount the bracket?
It is some oil bolt but im going to change it. I dont want to use that anymore. It doesn't leak but i don't feel comfortable having it there. Im probably going to make a braket and mout it on the frame somewhere. I tuned it it. It definitely runs way better than the 2 carbs i had before. Couldn't get it right . Im going to be making some changes in the future though. I wanna center the intake. It runs good the way it is now but i want to try something else and see how it runs.
Niceone man just the thing im looking at doing maybe soon. Im annoying my peeps constantly reving tuning the dual carbs here on these shadows😅
Dope. Im thinking about picking one of these up and bobbing it.
Size wise, will the v65 tank fit the '86 vt1100 frame ?
It would fit, but the rear mounting points will not align. Some modifications will be needed.
@@Lirvic86cv Many thanks, I don't mind modding, I'm looking to get rid of the gauges on the vt1100 tank
@jimnuttall881 i used a sportster tank on my vt1100 86 and i relocated my to the side of the bike. I still needed the fuel and temperature gauges.
Thank you for posting I really do appreciate it. What size jets did you use after all?
I tried different sizes and ultimately ended up with 55 pilot and 180 main. So far, this combination gave me the best results. I made adjustments with the fuel air screw also. I will post a video riding it as soon as the weather gets better.
@EricBelville-gz1ku no. It doesn't, however i have opened up a secondary on a vstar 650 and it worked great for me.
your desing is really nice . but.........sorry to tell you, your motorcycle will not run properly. you will make adjustments but still you will not get the right result. it will work properly at low revs and not at high revs. or the opposite, the reason is that the air intake piping should have exactly the same length from the carburetor to each cylinder .for this reason there is the air box above the carburetors. I have done it on the same motorcycle. what you have to do is to join the two inlets in the center of the distance between the cylinders and from there to join the pipe that brings the mixture to the cylinders. you will also have to do some tests with the Zigglers inside the carburetor. after a year of testing on different routes, I managed to set it up with a dragster specialist. good luck.
Hello! Interesting idea. But...will the rear cylinder receive enough air/fuel mixture? (so long way from carburetor and all these right angles)
Runs great. Better than the 2 carburetor setup. Had to put bigger gets and adj the fuel air mixture. I have the same setup on my vstar 650 and it runs great. The cylinders pull air and fuel individually so the this setup wont harm anything. From my experience its been 👍
@@Lirvic86cv nice! One more question: the carburetor is quite large and sticks out to the side - does it interfere with driving? (I was thinking about same setup for my Kawasaki VN750 last year, but wasn't sure if it works)
@MrBaclajan no. It's far from my leg , and everything works as it should. I had to widen the holes on the bracket where the throttle cables mout they were to narrow for my cables, but after that everything worked good.
@MrBaclajan i would definitely do this setup for the vn750. Those carbs are a pain to remove and put back on. I have one of them here that im that im gonna turn into a bobber, and i might do the same, just don't want to deal with carb cleaning headache.
@@Lirvic86cv yep, this winter I thought about disassemble carburetors to clean it. But then I realised amount of work and how many other details I need to disassemble first... So I decided to leave all this for the next winter. =)) Just changed motor oil and put some grease where it necessary. It would be great to see your work with VN750 - it will definetely help me to do same setup and avoid some mistakes.
Now do a v4 😂...

I'll post a video
Great video man!
Do you know the exact color of your tank or the pigmentation thank you
Army Green, Rust-Oleum Camouflage 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint
How did you hardtail it?
It handles very well. It feels light and fast. Almost like a sports bike. And the ride feels way better than i though with those springs on the seat. They are abit softer than the 3 inch springs so all in all, Great riding bike and it turns heads.
9.5 inch struts from ebay. They are for honda shadows
Bad ass!
Mucho bonita
Nice job I'm starting mine soon 👍
Thanks. Are you going with the sportster tank or keeping the original?
