Greenburn - Coniston MTB

Grisedale Pike One evening back in July we decided to have a punt at this one. To start wuth we were aiming for Coledale Hause with no real objective in mind. A ride with a mix of ride and hike a bike, we were pushing our boundaries and by doing it late in the day we were avoiding walkers. On this ride i take you through Grizedale before heading over to Iron Keld and onto Tilberthwaite before returning to Near Sawrey. A Torver Loop - We Fade To Grey Once More

A new route but the weather was back to the normal Grey!! We're well fed up with it now, I want to see some views. A mix of Country roads and trails SW of Torver, taking in Subberthwaite Fell and Woodland Fell. I have no doubt we will return on a better day just for the views... Well this was the first Sunday in weeks to have clear, dry conditions for a ride and although not feeling 100% i had to get out and enjoy it. It's amazing the lift it actually gives you. Not a circular on this ride, it was purely a 'There & Back' jobby.

That looks an interesting ride , despite riding that area for many years never ventured up to old mine, great video keep up good work, I like the curiosity and exploring with great views as much as I like great singletrack.

Last 1/3 of the ride was more for me , once you were off that rutted single track, more flow ,better scenery and still getting the exercise 🙂
The downhill was brutal to be honest, like riding on marbles

Yeah, my problem lies with having suffered serious leg trauma... My carefree attitude disappeared and struggle to let go of the brakes sometimes

Broughton woods looks horrible now, I've only been thru once last year and it was still pretty much upright with only sections felled but nowhere near like the mess you negotiated. I was speaking to a guy the other week who told me that the vast majority of the timber harvested is going to the mills for making biomass as there is such huge demand now. Just about everywhere I've ridden recently has got felling going on or been done very recently. As you know when we chatted near Cuckoo Brow Inn I was on my way to follow your route down to Betty fold and you can see from your video to my video that they have clear felled it's not really recogniseable from your video to mine and with all the current rain everywheres just horrendous like colthouse
Looks like a blast. Any more water on the trail and you'd need a wetsuit and a snorkel

You should probably have persevered. Boot/Burnmoor is a bit easier than Miterdale, although it's best avoided in Autumn due to handlebar grabbing bracken on the narrow sections of the track. Nice video.

Nice video, I’ve just started a channel for my emtb rides. What video editing do you use. Also I presume you have a GoPro….. what settings do you use if you don’t mind me asking 😊.
Now then, sorry I missed your question. At present I'm using a Gopro7 Black and the seetings are on 4K 30FPS & POV SuperView. I'll probably be upgrading soon to a GP11 although everyone is saying go for a Dji action cam
@@sawreymountainbikers6470 yep I’ve noticed a few mtb TH-camrs switching to the DJi action, I think I prefer the go pro footage though. 🤔

Absolutely, the only upgrade I did was to the drivetrain although it was after I'd had it 6months and I now have an SRAM Eagle. It's a great bike
sorry to be a pest pal. but does your neo 3 have automatic mode installed aswell as emtb mode? and does it come supplied with a bike alarm and anti theft locking device via the app? or do i have to buy the e connect module and pay for a subscription? i cant seem to find much info about it online as bosch dont make things straight forward in their advertising. thanks
@@UnderDog333 Hi, there's no automatic. Modes are Eco, Tour plus, Emtb and turbo There is a locking system via the app but I never use it and you don't have to buy a subscription for it. I only use it to update the system every now and again

@@gazzas28 You presumed wrongly. I just think it puts cyclists in a bad light when cycling on footpaths, especially when it's on video for all the world to see. BTW, I'm a hiker & a cyclist
