TGJ in this iteration is just fire !!!!! Juna Serita is the goddess of jazz bass, Emi Kanazashi is the closet thing to Patrice Rushen I have ever heard and MiMi on drums gives me echoes of Buddy Rich. But the addition of Shinobu Kawashima playing the Japanese traditional instrument the Tsugaru Shamisen just takes it to another whole level never see or heard before and just fits seamlessly into the composition and gives it an entirely new feel. I'm pretty sure Steve Kupka, Emilio Castillo, John Garibaldi and the rest of Tower of Power would be very pleased. Tokyo and Osaka in Japan have an amazing jazz/funk scene worthy of anywhere on the planet.

Untrue is the sound of London at night. There’s not many albums that encapsulate the feeling and vibe of a place so completely but this is definitely one of them for me. I think the best experience of this album is listenting on headphones, on the night bus at 3/4 am on your way home from a rave the other side of London.

What does he have to gain from this? And on the flip side, what does he have to lose if he is found to have faked this? This is an odd video. There's clearly a guitar playing in the song but it is not shown in the video. Harumo's sax sounds doubled on the non-solo parts.

Here’s you he got this without hearing the song: He is an absolute master at his craft and is easily one of the top 100 greatest drummers of all time. The fact that you can’t believe someone is that talented is just a credit to how talented he is.

I can't think of any song he's covered that he hasn't improved or put an interesting spin on. He's pretty incredible and his handpan and other instrument songs are unique.

I'm late to the ballgame but I know where you're coming from. I like this song but there's another artist I was trying to say didn't do a song justice and I got the reaction you're talking about. Everybody doesn't have the same feelings- it would be a boring world if we were all the same.
