Great video, man. I've been meaning to do something similar. You can never be too prepared these days.
OK, kid. My EDC is my firearm and 2 extra magazines (sometimes) My "Backpack is a trauma Kit., with a combat knife strapped to the outside. That I secure in My SUV. It not only contains 5 of those E-bay "Tourniquets", but 2 adhesive chest wound adhesive pads. I have a fist full of 4X4 gauze pads, and Gauze rolls, as well as elastic ace bands, to secure them. Anti-biotics? I have at least 5 tubes from the "dollar store". And for a longer term I have 4 bottles of pills <Penicillin and Amoxicillin", that pet stores sell. What you need to do is get some education. I got "basic First aid" in US Army basic training". Ie, dragging my buddy back and trying to save his life. With less equipment than I was issued. From stopping bleeding to setting bones. But My highly paid Suburban police department required us recruits to pass the State Mandated EMT, Test before we graduated from the police academy. What you need is training. And not gadgets.
Training and knowing how to use the equipment is certainly the number one thing to do to prep for the worst. Sounds like you know your stuff! I need to add in the chest seal to the trauma kit. That is the bit I am missing as well as antibiotics. Thank you for the comment.
@@brainpodmedia You are more than welcome. Outside of Urban, areas ( nothing in cities is free) you can get training for free from the American Red Cross, and Volunteer Fire Departments. You don't play with tourniquets unless you know what you are doing. That "Nasul Thimigie is called a "Nasal Canuel" and is used to administer bottled oxygen. You don't need that. An "Ambubag" is more useful in a trauma situation to keep the lungs working. You sound young . Stay off of "free speech" websites they are full of assholes and when apply for a "good job". They check your Internet history. . If you are as young as I think you are, you might want to enlist. You can even maintain a TH-cam channel. At your permanent party. In the Military you use your buddy's "Trama kit" on him if he gets hit. I was an MP. My duty belt had a pouch on it for a pressure bandage, That I was to use if he/she got hit. Most of us kept a pack of cigarettes in it.
I have a couple of those pocket trauma kits, Great bit of kit to stick in your back pocket of your jeans.
It is an excellent size, for sure.

I don't know why you have vicodin, but it's illegal to carry it outside of it's packaging even if you're prescribed. Personally I don't like opiates. You can mix Tylenol and Ibuprofen and get the same effect. When I had my Wisdom tooth out I took 1,000mg of tylenol and 600mg of Ibuprofen and the dose last me all day. I never experienced any pain or discomfort whatsoever and it's far safer than taking opiates. The other thing I wanted to caution you is don't mix your meds in the same container, especially loose. Not only can it lead to medication errors but it can contaminate the meds and lead to some potentially serious problems. Not a huge risk with most OTC meds, but it can be more risky with prescription meds. Keep them separate.

If this is just for "short trips", like to the store, why in the heck would you need dental floss??? It really isn't great as cordage.
If I eat when I'm out, stuff gets stuck in my teeth... and then I need floss. You're right though... not the best cordage choice.
