This food looks incredible and I can't wait to get to London next year. I already have my ticket for food tours at Burough's Market and Eating Europe which includes Spitafields market.

1Lb 5oz of steak for that price isn’t too bad imo. Also, the cut of steak you probably prefer is a rib eye or a filet as those are both very tender cuts. Excellent video here, short and succinct ❤

As a Londoner, I'm so glad you showcased Spitalfields market. Everyone either does Borough or Camden market so its nice to see Spitalfields. I would enjoy the video so much more if I actually saw you eating and enjoying the food. That's the joy of food tour videos for me, seeing the host enjoy the food. Great content though, thank you.

Hi Clarissa Well the great thing i like about this clip is that i have an Aunt that lives in Cheltenham i will defiantly be going here next time im there. My wife watched this clip with me and was ore struck at all what i call original cakes, its true what they say i think, simple is best. I paused to look at the full menu, and my biggest problem would be choosing as it all looked so good. As for the Sandwiches OMG they were just to die for, and all those beautiful meats and sauces etc, WOW. Its 100% clear these owners are 100% Italian, and i just love the whole shop. Chris.

It's hardly a market any more. It has quickly changed into a trendy food court which locals like me can't afford.

Very interesting but the music 🎶 is to loud and unnecessary.. its also very annoying when I need to concentrate in your narration!!

I think it was a kindness to suggest you order less not an insult. You ordered a meal for six. Three starters, three mains with two of those intended for multiple people. That's a mountain of food. I assume you left a lot to be cleared away.

I’d disagree with the labeling of Borough and Camden Markets as tourist traps in the video description…I’d instead describe them as oversaturated (both in terms of crowds and social media exposure) with some tourist trap-ish vendors (Borough: Bomba Paella, chocolate strawberries, Fish! kitchen….Camden: Yorkshire Burrito and Funky Chips). But I certainly agree that Old Spitalfields is the best of the three. My go-to is dumplings from Dumpling Shack, and a single cheeseburger at Bleecker. I’d again disagree with the assertion that Bleecker is akin to an elevated McDonalds….Bleecker Burger and McDonalds aren’t even playing the same sport. Bleecker shines brightest with their simplest burger, the single or double-patty cheeseburger. But hey, tastes differ. And of course every restaurant has some days better than others. A few of my other favorites at Old Spitalfields are Sud Italia for pizza, and Le Bab for kebab pitas.

That looks fantastic! We have been to that festival once more, but had our two young (back then) kids with us, so could not focus properly on the stalls. Do you have a link which shows food festivals around the UK? How do you find out about them all? Thanks

Hi Clarissa, Wow Abergavenny Food Festival what a gem !! Such an amazing selection of foods, and they all looked amazing. I see you had the standard rain when you were there, iv been three times and it always rained. Ok the food, i picked out just a few, firstly the Lamb, oh wow welsh lamb is amazing and when cooked and served like this you just can't knock it. Second was Beefy Boys, i remember the other vlog on this, and since then my daughter has tried one, she said 'Dad its not a burger its an experience' how do they do it ? Finally i loved the Mexican food, i had some like this many years ago in London, and still remember it to this day, you just cant copy it. Great vlog as always Clarissa, Chris

The way the town transforms for a weekend is so wonderful. One of my favourites for sure.

Think its hard not to be cynical about food markets these days. Everything tastes the same, is hyped up on social media and you pay restaurant prices to eat your food standing on a smelly street corner. And then there's the tourists.

On the 'too much food' thing, I'm reminded of being asked after ordering whether I knew what a steak tartare was. I did and took umbrage at the question. In retrospect I think it came from a good place and I regret my reaction.

V interesting review, thanks. On the 'too much food' that would get a 👍 from me as it suggests attention is being paid. On the whole what jumped out was how visually unpleasing all the dishes were. Things seemed to be slapped on plates without much care for the overally appearance. Putting chilli oil on burrata is a crime. The prices sound like theft. Based on the review, I'd go for the bread and butter and the fish head with a glass of wine and call it a day/night.

Great video of a fabulous restaurant! I really like how to highlight the plus and minuses of each dish and that you're a normal person going out for a meal, instead of restaurant reviewer or some hype following TikToker. That lamb was too fatty for my liking but the duck dish looked amazing!

As a native Cardiffian (albeit one who now lives in California) the market was part of my upbringing and I'm rather surprised that the fresh fish stall wasn't mentioned. It has "bara lava", a South Welsh delicacy not sold in many places.

I sat at the counter and engaged with the cooks and the duty manager, all important in these types of places. I was not impressed with the wine guy (a push to call him a sommelier) based on his reaction when I told him exactly what I wanted not what he suggested ( I collect wine) . I could see the attitude. The dinner worked for me but I would not rush to go back as the menu is limited. 8 months on, I've heard service has taken a dip. The money from this branch is also funding a much bigger venue in the docklands - the operation takes a lot of tourist money less so regulars.

I have been to Pasture Cardiff & found it overpriced for just above average food, the tomahawk steak was very fatty. I didn't like the way they put a 10% service charge on the bill without telling you. I wouldn't go again.

Nope,, the little burger shop behind peacocks in hereford is,, Bboys used to be good, but a lack of consistency and the price hype,, aint doing it for me anymore

The bun to burger ratio is off it looks like 70% bread
