What if you are petite under 5'2"? Can the strap be adjusted?

Man, as one of the crowdfunding buyers, it's really disappointing how easily the clips come off the main strap. The tutorial makes it seem simple on paper, but fumbling with this for more than a minute on a plane usually ends up in giving up haha. The standard configuration usually works, but the Southwest and weird car seat shaped ones are tough.

Looks like a great product, but very expensive. Not sure if yours is patented, but there are a couple on Amazon that work on the same principle, for less than half the price. It would be interesting to see how they compare.
