Madaba History - A Brief Overview
Madaba, known as the "City of Mosaics," is a historic town in Jordan with roots dating back to biblical times. Originally a Moabite city, it was later incorporated into the Kingdom of Israel.
During the Roman and Byzantine eras (2nd-7th centuries AD), Madaba flourished as a Christian center, famed for its stunning mosaics, including the Madaba Map-a 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in St. George's Church.
After the Islamic conquest in the 7th century, the city declined and was abandoned until the 19th century when Christian Arabs resettled the area, reviving its rich heritage.
Today, Madaba is a vibrant city, celebrated for its ancient mosaics, historical sites, and proximity to landmarks like Mount Nebo.

It's because there isn't much to see other than some history with the founder of Turkey in Ankara, I suggest Gaziantep for food, Istanbul for tourist attractions, Northern Turkey for Nature, Antalya for Summer vacation beach etc.
