‘Supercell’ thunderstorm over south east Queensland. November 29th, 2023.
The rear end of a very active ‘Supercell’ thunderstorm as it headed east out to sea over the Moreton Bay region of south east Queensland. The storm began to rotate and produced large hail and flash flooding in the Caboolture area of the region before finally crossing the coast and heading out over Moreton Bay producing constant lightning. It held together and continued on out over the pacific. Final still thanks to @tonzislandsandman

The Irish National Anthem is sung to mark the end of the ceremony honouring those who gave their lives in service of Ireland (and those who passed as veterans) on the National Day Of Commemoration at Collins Barracks Dublin (Now the National Museum of decorative arts and history). As the last notes were sung a four ship of Irish Air Corps PC-9M’s performed a flyover.

While performing a simulated airfield attack on #Llanbedr airfield in #Wales in the T-45 #Goshawk another Hawk (a T1A) exiting the #machloop was on the reciprocal course. Luckily we were offset slightly (very slightly). A brown trousers moment. #msfs2020 #Low_Level

A relatively short clip of an epic thunderstorm that hit the Brisbane area in the late summer of 2021. I screwed up and didn’t manage to record the huge lightning strikes as it approached 🙄

A lively storm builds over Marangaroo New South Wales. The lightning was all around(and a bit too close at times!!) so I only managed to catch some of it!

With the EA18G Growler approaching......I sooo love 1 of the Ladies (in the Spectators) saying, "Here it comes!!!" (probs to young children in her care?)...magic to instill pride in the next generation (just like Anzac Day)
Didn't the Super Hornets usually fly at Riverfire? Do you know why they changed to Growlers?
The Growler is essentially a Super Hornet airframe with 95 per cent commonality but adds additional capabilities to give it an electronic attack capability.

Depends on which squadron is tasked I suppose . Visually they look almost the same (without the Growlers big wing mounted jamming pods on) other than the pods on the wingtips which are permanent feature of the Growler.
