@@thematchslip back in my home town we had draw go games and Vermont gaming academy which also sold retro stuff. Now I live in portland and live near guardian and mox both of which have multiple locations and might be harder to interview folks from. The ones in Vermont are fantastic, I remember when both opened and used to go to draw go for earlier editions of dnd, their video game collection and new dice, draw go was a bit better for magic cards and usually held a special cover of the latest 5e book for me. Draw go also had some cool wargame displays and was definitely my favorite.

@@thematchslip also, I’m glad to hear someone talking about this online, this is something I kinda passively winge about but lgs’s supporting community interaction matters a lot to me. Regular, quality events and a place you can play some games casually are a must for me.

I personally couldn't sell the cards in my collection. I would rather trade cards in for store credit that I knew I wouldn't use. "Day trading" cards can certainly be a challenge determining what to sell when factoring in reprints or the potential for cards getting banned.

Money makes things easier but it can't buy happiness. Happiness is key. I appreciate you watching the video!

I think the most I paid in the past for a fat pack was $40. I cannot justify the $100 price tag. I do remember in the past when I could buy a box for that price. The single cards can drop some in price after a sets release, but if those cards are popular they will rise again in price. With Modern Horizons 3 being a set designed for Modern, the cards are more powerful and thus the sets are much more expensive that a Standard set. When Hasbro moved Wizards of the Coast into its own division and started releasing more products and moved away from the old lineup of four Standard sets a year plus a potential specialty product is when I recall the prices getting much higher.

Unfortunately, I don't. Sorry.
