Come Away to Sea, David Wilcox cover HD 1080p
มุมมอง 2722 ปีที่แล้ว
I love this old David Wilcox tune. I've known it for years, but when I recently learned to play it I could not make it through the third verse where he talks about a guitar sailing his heart. For some reason I am very moved by the sound of a nice guitar and I am so thankful this instrument has been a part of my life. It certainly has helped me through some very difficult times.

A credit to Keola Beamer, please
Yes, this song is played by Keola Beamer as it is by many artists. However, he did not write it so he does not receive credit for it. The credit goes to Kahauanu Lake and Mary Kawena Pukui who wrote the song.
Would you be willing to share the tabs? I really want to learn this! Mahalo!
Incredible! This is one of my favorite's hymns/carols. Loved the version!

Beautiful, Jeff! I love the music theory paragraph. First time I've been led through a song in such a way. Lovely!
Mama Jo Rademacher - thanks! I never know if people get bored with music theory, so I am glad you appreciate it
@@jeffreyhaagenson Knowing the background/theory to a song, especially an instrumental, is equivalent to lyrics, giving it heart. Thanks for sharing your talent!
Nice!
SO beautiful! Peace and rest. Thank you!.
Can you do a lesson on this please?
Thanks for the interest! I would recommend that you check out Jeffpetersonguitar.com. He is a great teacher and there are free lessons on his website. Aloha!
He Aloha No O Honolulu is a beautiful song by Lot Kauwe which speaks of saying goodbye to Honolulu and returning home to Kona aboard the inter-island steamer, the SS Maunaloa (which sank in military service in 1942). Lot Kauwe was a school teacher as well as a highly regarded choir director, church fund raiser and musician. Like many of his songs, this one contains hidden and veiled meanings. He died in 1922.
Jeff, this is beautiful! Your talent is amazing...
So nahenahe! Hopefully I’ll learn this one too sometime in the future!
Thanks, I will be adding more songs soon!
Awesome! Great Ku’uipo Onaona!
