「TH13」 Touhou Shinreibyou ~ Ten Desires Demo Blind Normal Run
So after failing that blind Lunatic run horribly, I play a few more rounds and finally switch off the Normal mode and use Sanae. As usual, the demo includes the first 3 stages of the game on all difficulties.
First off, the demo is ridiculously easy on Normal. I know ZUN toned down the difficulty for newcomers but I thought that's sorta why Easy mode was there. I got careless and an enemy rams into me. Aside from that, I didn't really have to try at all to beat this on Normal.
Second, the music so far is only okay. Probably my favorite theme is Yuyuko's new theme and maybe Stage 3. But the rest isn't all too great imo. Too mellow for me. Actually I sorta like the title screen music also. So that makes 3 pieces.
EDIT: Okay nevermind. Music been growing on me. But I still feel like they could have used a bit more oomph or something.
Third, when i saw Yuyuko the first time, I was confused, and then I started lol'ing because she got booted to a Stage 1 boss. xD
Fourth, ZUN's art seems to be getting better. Or I like this artwork in this game. So are the graphics. Though the bullets seem to blend in a bit more now with the background and all the effects. Freakin ninja bullets.
Fifth, I don't like how items work in this game. Power is sorta hard to get in this game now. Life and bomb items are hard enough to get now also since they just float there and eventually disappear. Hard to get when everything is trying to turn you into Swiss cheese. And the Trance meter, seems a bit too much anyways since it's like a secondary bomb meter. Just this time it activates if you die in retaliation.
Sixth, does Yoshika use the spirits to gain health or something? Yeah I figured it out at the end of the battle so nyaa...
Seventh, if I get time I'll do a Hard mode run and possibly a successful Lunatic run.
