John Osborne demonstrates Nelson-Wiggen 1928 Nickelodeon
John Osborne demonstrates the 1928 Nelson-Wiggen nickelodeon that he restored. We hear three melodies: Trombonium, I Ain't Married No More, & Back To The Carolina You Love.
This nickelodeon has a 58 note piano, a mandolin rail and a 24 note xylophone. These band-in-a-box machines were all the rage until amplified jukeboxes became the norm in the mid-1930s.

Playing a stack of 45 rpm 7 inch records on a BSR McDonald Minichanger. The first record had already dropped and then I cycle through the rest of the stack until the last record reaches the end and then the player automatically shuts off. Record changers were all the rage in the past, especially for 45s. It was very common for many teenagers and young adults in the fifties through the eighties ...

Isn't this just the cutest lil record changer ya ever seen. Restored by me and works like new. BSR made several versions of this Minichanger and some were installed in portable stereo units. Very lightweight but mostly metal parts. Made in jolly olde England, of course. It will play and change all sizes of records (have to all be the same size in a stack) and all the common speeds. In this vide...
