Azaries and people of today Turkey spoke Persian until sometime after Sejuke came to power in Iran. Seljuke were Turkish tribes of Iranian origin. Azarbaijan (called Azarbaigan before Arab invasion of Iran) is a Persian name meaning "Guardians of Fire" (significance in Zoroastrianism). Turkish is a language of Mongolian origin. Azaries are Turkish speaking Persians. Azarbaijan is Iran.
The building in the center of Shah Goli lake dates only to the 1960s, when then greedy mayor of Tabriz had the old Safavid palace of king Ismail I knocked down to build this kitchy new building and get kickback money from its construciton. The lake itself is Sassanian, and belongs to the Anahita Temple (also seen in Kirmanshah/Taq Bustan, Takab, Firuzabad and Lahijan, among others)

Iran is home to the REAL AZARPADEGAN. The area north of the Aras River was always called SHIRVAN and ARRAN. These confused Shirvanis love to steal history as their name is COPIED from Iran. Azarpadegan is over 2,000 years old region in Iran that stands for AZAR (Fire) Padegan (Garrison) = Land where Fire is protected, a designation based upon their ancient Zoroastrian customs of protecting the eternal flame.
