Good video Chaz. There was plenty of doing in this one. As I said before , I’m not a fan of exhaust work. But the Burban is coming along well . Find the electrical issue and flip it. You gave the next owner a good start. They should be able to easily make it road worthy and do what ever they need to to make it their own. Have a great week . That engine sounds like it's begging to be run. Damn. Good thing you have a decent shop floor, btw. I spent too many hours rolling around under cars sitting in gravel and mud. 😐

I use to be an avid planner and goal setter. Constant setbacks and multiple problems combined with my tired old fat ass, I no longer care, and shit gets done when it gets done! Life has been grand since... LOLOLOLOL Duuuuuuuuude! Totally relate to the creature of habit thing! Everything has it's place and I get steaming ass mad when crap isn't where i know i put it!! I know the multi-project shuffle struggle. Lately I've been just filling each car with its parts just so I can keep track of what goes where. That way when i pull it in, it's got all its crap inside of it. But being organized with multiple projects is a huge challenge.

Think of it like a divorce, you gotta fix up the house before you sell it, then its gone

Them ole square bodies must be a dime a dozen in that condition around you. Nobody that ever owned and drove a Suburban has ever said “glad we got rid of that”. I know what you know. I see what you see. This is called the “Seven Year Itch” in marriages…Authors call it “writers block”…I think Hot Rodders call it “Project Paranoia”…shedding dead weight has its advantages and focus is always welcome, but giving up on a vision or idea or project is actually hurtful. Good Luck p.s. Canadians call it “your problem” because we generously “share” our one too many space taker uppers, to the first guy that comments on it. But the Pabst Blue ‘burban might win awards at a show or three and definitely go mini viral and up the selling price.

Some times you just have to get it done to move it out and on to the next project.

Rock Auto is a good deal, but only if you are buying in bulk and only shipping from 1 or 2 locations. Otherwise shipping kills most their deals. Brake lines are certainly a thing nowadays, especially on the '80 and older stuff. Something i never use to think about much back in the day. This junk ages too! Even in the RUST LESS west coast, those stupid ass studs are breaking off on SBC manifolds everywhere... Had to have been Chevrolet's dumbest idea ever.. and then use three!!! Visual Progress? We never used that! HAHAHA About time you got dirty and did something! 🤣🤣🤣

I have a buddy that didn’t believe me about brake hose and spent his money on a rotor and caliper took his truck for a ride and halfway home it was turning the rotor red hot ,,crawled under his truck because he thought about what I told him,,so he crawled under his truck with a wrench and loosened the line and the truck almost rolled over his guts, I think he learned 2 lessons that day 😜😜

I gotta hand to ya brother, as I said before , I hate exhaust work . I especially hate the type of job you just completed. Drilling an exhaust man under the vehicle is murder. Most times you can’t get a straight shot to drill. When you said I’m already there I might do the last one I was saying , noooooo, don’t do it. Also you made the right choice by not changing the manifold. The heads would have be worse. Nice Job.

It's a disease man... part of being a car guy! Collecting projects is just a way of that life!!!! I vote SBC... it's a cruiser, not a racer. I'd even go 305 over 350 just because I rode in a few 305s that were rippers and still got great gas mileage. Just my thoughts.

Nice OBS truck, I had a 92 4x4 back in the day. (Will send pics if I can find them) . Loved it, but I’m currently looking for a 67 C or K10 for a project now. Will eventually replace my 08 F150 as a daily driver. Unfortunately the Ford frame is rusting on me . Gonna try to stop it or slow it down for now. Can’t wait to see the suburban and the kids Belair finished and than what even you get into next

90’s RULED! Detail it within an inch of its life. Let’s lean into it. Not Neon Neoprene WetSuit upholstery lean. Maybe (big MAYBE)some Neon graphics or pinstriping. C4 Wheels? Or late 2nd Gen chrome Turbo T/A wheels. Hot Rod rake 3” front drop 2” rear. Aggressive treaded All Season bigs and littles. Oooooohh maybe a Trans Am Firebird Decal set up and it’s the W/TT/A. No Headrests. LED interior and exterior. Axle back Twin Turbs for this and the burbs. More power to you on this plan… …until the plan changes and then I support that plan too.

Hold onto your hat... this may SHOCK you... but I had an '88 K1500 Silverado SWB for a few years. It had a 350 and 700R4 trans. Black with Dk Blue interior. Actually a decent looking truck, paid $1200 for it IIRC (it wasn't running). Let me tell you.... it was a RIPPER. The previous owner put '92 Bucket seats in it. I'll admit, they were pretty comfy seats! So there you have it... Oly's garage had a Chevy...and an OBS one too boot. I've got pictures of it I'll have to send to ya. So.... when is that SBC going in????? LOL
