@PiotrekMolibden Aloha! I believe the length folded is 20 or 21 inches. It fit in a 28-inch bag without having to remove the 0db 160s moderator, which is 6 1/2 inches. @MattGuynn i have no complaints. This is easy to use and easy to learn. Get one and you won't be disappointed. I was going to get the newer thermnight but I sort of took a break from eradication because there's not much left that is worth the drive. My sight is still dead on from when I last used it in april, took it out yesterday for some targets and it was still as I left it. I hope you enjoy your sight as I do mines. @@808NoH8 @808NoH8 @808NoH8 not necessarily because that would create a knot in the line when the limu breaks, like an overhand knot would. The knot I learned to use is just a loop you put the limu through instead of the line itself. It is more like a cow hitch, but only a single loop at a time. @Oscar_xD7573 Mahalo for your kind words. Im sure you will enjoy your AEA SF, it is truly a work horse if you understand it. I've heard of some people using it in the AEA groups on Facebook. I know many recommend super lube. As long as it's 100% silicone and absolutely no petroleum products, it should be good to go. I personally use EWL by Slip2000 and silicone grease from one of the many dive shops here on Kauai. I think its Trident, the brand of silicone grease. On Facebook I'm in AEA Airgun Owners Group - USA and AEA Airgun Owners - North America. Join both in case you have any questions, many of us are happy to share our knowledge. Also, there will come a day when your magazines will lose their hold on the last round. Be prepared for that. Simple work around for that that I do is to not load the last round at all leaving the space empty. The last round will tend to shoot backwards within the gun from the blowback in semi or simply slip backwards while in single if recharging at an inclined angle. In any case it's pretty simple to extract the pellets, you just have to remove the butt stock, and for that, you need a spanner wrench. I just bought a cheap adjustable one from Amazon. You also need it to perform general maintenance, so purchasing one now is a good choice. Hope you enjoy your airgun and it brings you many years of good service. Mahalo for watching and commenting. @gagain100 when the valve pin fails it will stutter upon closing and give the effect of full automatic fire. In my case it was a jammed pellet causing the bolt to bump off the sear preventing full lock up.

@svrfx3573 Aloha! I painted it myself using techniques I learned while in the army. I was going to create a video of me painting this, but I lost all the footage. I did video portions of me painting the triple clamp though, so I'll try turn that into a video. Basically, I used a mesh laundry bag and liquid soap to create the different layers and patterns. It is a pretty awesome airgun! It ultimately depends on your intentions with it. I got this to eliminate nuisance pigs in neighborhoods. Because of this, the power is set pretty high, and thus it's louder. Further compounding the high sound is the inability to use larger moderators due to the air cylinder directly underneath the end of the barrel. The full-sized sidewinder does not have a limitation on moderator size. So you can imagine because of the power and sound, this .30 is not backyard friendly and so it isn't used as often as my other .25 airguns. It only comes out when we go up the mountain or to the pasture, where we can check zero and play with it without botherin anyone. There are times I do wish I had gotten the full-size sidewinder, but this is smaller, lighter, and more compact, so it's easier to maneuver in backyards while chasing down pigs. I may eventually size down to either a .25 or .22, so I can take it with me to eradicate the invasive parakeets here too. So, to me, the pros of this airgun outweigh the cons. Whatever you ultimately decide on, I'm sure you will be happy with this airgun. Mahalo for watching and commenting. Take care, aloha!

@JDT738126 with the compact 0db 110 moderator it came with, it makes your ears ring. I did manage to get it down to where it doesn't ring my ears while keeping good fpe numbers.

@rolis.j at the current stock regulator setting and the power knob 3 down from max, I can get 3 full magazines(36 rounds) and still be above the regulator. I'm not sure it the .30 compact can get that high due to the shorter barrel. It depends on what you want out of it, if you want more power for with the .30, if you want more shots, the .25 would be a better choice. Also, the .30 is loud as it is. I could turn it down to make it quiet but that would defeat the purpose of a .30. Hope this helps. Mahalo for watching, take care, aloha.

@johnjingleheimer6992 Aloha! I do not have a trigger scale, but the trigger is light but manageable. The trigger pull gets even shorter in full automatic action, I believe by half. I have not seen any diagrams, but I'm sure if you reach out to Western Airguns, they may send you one. It would not work, however, for my big bore air rifle because the eye relief is close. Too close for comfort for my .510 hammer carbine. The zulus is awesome. Mahalo for watching. That was when the barrel was brand new. Since then, it has been broken in, and I have tuned down the regulator to 150bar and get 1/8 inch groups with the FX Atomic pellets and 1/2 inch with the JSB Hades pellets. No matter if I tune up or down, the Atomics still perform better than the Hades. Take care, aloha.

@ArcanusLibero It has only if I don't load the last round into the magazine. Most of the time it's in single shot while I'm using it to eradicate parakeets because it's much louder in semi. I don't want to draw attention to myself since its at night in areas heavily populated with tourists. But as long as you don't care about the sound and keep the last round empty in your magazines, you should have no problem in semi. Accuracy doesn't suffer from being in semi over single aswell. But again, I can't stress this enough, keep the last slot of the magazine empty. Even in single, the weight of the pellet itself is enough to make it slide backwards into the bolt area causing it to jam if you are shooting at an upward angle. Hope this helps. Take care, aloha.

Mahalo for watching and leaving a comment. Well, I got my fx pcv2 to work, and the results shocked me. The fx 50.2 grain averaged 805 fps at 72.32 fpe. The patriot javelin 68 grain averaged 678 fps at 69.22 fpe. That's 3.1 fpe more in favor of the 50.2 pellets over the 68 slugs! My regulator is still at the factory setting. I just adjusted the power knob 3 down from max, not sure how much it actually is because I turned it back over 25 times from max and it kept on going and felt as if it was going to fall out. I'm not sure if it's supposed to stop . So again, stock regulator setting from factory and power adjuster 3 clicks down from max to get 805 fps and 72.32 fpe with fx 50.2 pellets and 677 fps and 69.22 with patriot javelin 68 slugs. If you're after power, you definitely will want the 45. The full auto on this is neat, but i really love this gun's portability. In the facebook group, lethal air airgun hunters, a member posted that his .30 compact gets a 50 grain to 910 fps with his regulator at 180 and adjustment knob all the way up. At that he only get a little over a full magazine, and he upgraded his bottle to the 480cc bottle. I hope this helps you. Mahalo again, take care, aloha!

I've been wondering the same because I want to upgrade to the 480 bottle. I sent a message to western back in January but haven't gotten any response. Mabey I should ask again. Western would most likely be the only place to find it. I know there's a Florida company, palmbeach something, that upgrades the bottle to a 350 and adds the leshy behemoth moderator. On Lethal Air Airgun Hunters, a group on facebook, a member(Clayton horn) just posted today his sidewinder compact with a 480 bottle. I wanted to get the 480 also for mines. The clamp is still short but I realized that it would interfere with our larger moderators. He's running a yokozuna on his which is the same diameter as my 0db Magnum. I love it! I keep it in my waist band so it's sort of prone to sweat and I forget that it's there and have went swimming in the ocean after work. MagnaCut is great because it's very easy to maintain, just a quick rinse and a strop every once in a while. The blade play isn't noticeable when in use, only if you hold the blade and wiggle the hande you see it and then again it's very minimal. I really want to get the carbon handle version but I dont like the fact that they put a silver stone wash blade on it. I hope you get one or a few and enjoy them as I do. Aloha! I have 2 of these scopes and I use one on a .25 airgun and the other is a .30. The airgun at the end is an Aea SF .25 compact.

The manual says it's adjustable by turning it. Next time I go out I'll try and record while adjusting it. Both of my zulus are mounted to airguns and they work perfectly for them

I think it is incredible. It is compact, light, powerful and very accurate. It's lightweight does not at all bring any sense of poor quality, it actually feels very solid for its weight. It shoulders easily and is stable from the bench. The trigger takes some time to get used to because it's much different from my other airguns. But after a few shots, it is predictable and consistent. The trigger becomes much lighter and more sensitive in full auto. Oh yea it has full automatic function. The only thing that keeps this from being a perfect airgun for me is that it's very loud. Even with a 0db Magnum moderator, it is loud. This has prevented me from using it as much as I would like to in my backyard. Sure I could tune it back to be more quiet, but whats the use of a weak but quiet .30? So far, I've only been able to use it up in the mountains or my father inlaw's pasture. I've taken 2 pigs so far, the largest being 137lbs. All in all, I love the sidewinder compact, it is light, compact, accurate, is fully automatic, has removable magazines, and it's very powerful. The only drawback I see is its sound, but if you live in an area where that is not an issue, this may be the perfect airgun for you. I would recommend the western sidewinder to anyone. I plan on getting a .25 version so I can use it in my backyard without bothering my neighbors. Mahalo for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Yes, this is Hawaii on Kauai. They were originally pets but escaped starting with hurricane Ewa in 1982 and then again with hurricane Iniki in 1992. Since then their population has gone pretty much un checked, except for a few locals like myself, that are tired of the destruction that they cause. Not only do they eat fruits and crops, they also defecate alot where they roost, usually onto park tables and benches that are under the trees. Pretty crappy for tourists trying to enjoy watching the sunset and having these things defecating all over them. I hope your pet industry doesn't turn into a problem like we have here. The birds stay still, but the wind blows the frond around. We try but there's still alot of places that won't allow us access. And sadly, we're getting push back because they've monetized it for a few and those people complain cause we're reducing the money they get. Which is dumb. Haven't notice any wear in the switch area or anywhere else. There are some shiny spots in the blade opening, but it's most likely from me prying it open everytime I do maintenance. The sides stick together really well with a tiny bit of oil between them. Mahalo for watching. Take care. Aloha

Its good you have memories of the good old days. I remember as a child picking opihi off the cement pier walkway at kukuiula harbor. Now you're lucky to even see small ones clinging to the sides. The clip will loosen, like any metal it will flex, but just be careful you don't flex it too much. I normally wear heavy canvas khaki pants and this rides fine in them. Mahalo for watching. Take care. Aloha

I think it's outstanding. Far better than my AEA SF compact lol. It's light but still feels solid with no sharp edges. Trigger has to be learned but is crisp and smooth. Moderator screws on and off smooth without binding or noise. Overall I love it and I'm sure everyone that gets their hands on one will to! Mahalo for watching take care.

My friend has an edgun leshy with the behemoth moderator. He keeps it in an assault pack in the back of his truck. I haven't heard him shoot it, but when he shot my sidewinder he did comment on how loud it was. He said by nature hammerless airguns are louder. But you can't go wrong with either of the 2. I plan on eventually getting a leshy as a truck gun to replace my problematic, underpowered AEA SF compact. Mahalo again for watching and for your comments. Take care. Aloha!

@@barryhallsack8852 I sold my Edgun because it was not that good of a gun for the price. All the extras that you might want to buy for Edgun are VERY expensive! Stick with a Huben or Sidewinder. I love my Huben K1 .25 ( not the pistol). I get 30 shots at 97 FPE with the regular Huben k1. I use it the most. What state are you from? I'm from little Rhode Island.

I'm so happy I got to try both the edgun and huben. The huben was better in every way in my opinion. I still wasn't able to try the sidewinder though. That's probably going to be next on my list. Which ammo is your favorite? I have had good success with the JSB 34 grain pellets and I bought some varmint knocker 47 grain slugs that seem to be really good but to shoot them at 930 ft per second. I'm only able to get 2 and 1/2 magazines before it falls off the regulator. The jsbs I'm able to get probably a little bit more than 60 shots but I'm not at 90 ft lb of energy. I need to do some fine tuning I think. I'm averaging 75-Ft lb of energy.

I'm trying to find a place on my island with a long enough lane. Up in the mountain where I went the longest is 40 yards. The shooting range at the gun club only goes to 50 yards. Im sure it would do good though. I was using a 3-9x32 bug buster and still got decent groups. I'm sure it. Could have been better if I had my glasses and had a better optic.

@destinationstravelguide I do not know if they sell different barrels on the open market like other companies(fx or brocock/daystate), but there is this compact version and the standard version with the 23 inch barrel. Im sure it is possible, but you would have to check back channels. Along with the longer barrel, the standard version sidewinder does offer a larger airtank and barrel covers for the same price. @yalieangami6233 it's possible. I live in Hawaii and pay child support for 5 kids and have 2 kids here. I was unfortunate enough to suffer an accident at work a day before my birthday and the disability check went towards this and my children's Christmas gifts. I've been saving for this since June 2023 with what little I had left from my job and va disability every month, the workers compensation disability check was what finally sealed it for me. You can achieve this! I have faith in you!
