Beth Am Synagogue
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 4 พ.ค. 2015
Welcome to Beth Am, where we strive to be, in Isaiah’s words, “a house of prayer for all peoples”. Our nearly 500 household memberships come from a wide range of backgrounds. Beth Am’s warm, child-friendly community and its pluralistic outlook make it a place so comfortable that many members say it “feels like home”. The congregation has long appreciated diversity of all kinds, including our openness to families of interfaith and same-sex couples.
Located in the historic Reservoir Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City, we are an urban, egalitarian congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Our congregation balances traditional prayer and learning with innovative and intellectual critique. We invite you to learn more about us here, or better yet … join us for services or a program. www.bethambaltimore.org

The United States should end military aid to Israel. 1. Israel can pay for its own military. Israel has a strong economy, an excellent international credit rating, and runs frequent budget surplus. Israel ran an annual surplus of more than a billion dollars six out of the last ten years. 2. Military aid to Israel is a security risk. Israel is a major supplier of military technology to China. These sales have been instrumental in the modernization of the Chinese military. Israel developed the Lavi fighter from American technology with 1.5 billion in American subsidies. Israel sold the Lavi fighter to China. It is now called the J-10 and is the mainstay of the Chinese Air Force. Israel has also sold China missile guidance systems,, advanced radar systems and targeting systems. 3. Israel is a diplomatic liability. 4. Military aid to Israel is illegal under the Leahy Law because of Israel's human rights violations. Any aid to Israel is illegal under the Symington amendment which prohibits aid to nations with nuclear weapons that have not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and do not permit inspections of their nuclear sites.
Welcome back, Rav Daniel!
Hamantashen all the way!
This was really great, thanks so much.
Incredible!
Just beautiful!!
I had the good fortune to attend yesterday's Shabbat. I needed to be there to support my friends and neighbors. it was an amazing worship service. As a Roman Catholic, I was moved spiritually as well as emotionally. This was due in part to Rabbi Burg for sure. But the kindness of his congregation and other visitors was breathtaking!
Very proud of you, so well written and heartfelt.
I am confused, the earth is shaking, the sky was weeping yesterday. What have we become,do we know, are we passing or failing the test. Is the universe shifting? Is there any reason to hope for voices among all us, HELP, REGARD, HOPE, TAKE THE LEAD, JOIN VOICES TO CHANGE FOR GOOD!,, wE ARE BEYOND THE PRECIPICE AND FREEFLYING, Let the words of PEACE WITH JUSTICE RING OUT AV BOVE THE SOUNDS OF HATE AND VIOLENCE
She is great in São Paulo as well.
