The spring itself is fine, what breaks is the poorly designed plastic clip that holds it to the fuel door. If you remove the rest of the broken plastic from the old spring a small bolt/nut can be used to hold it in place through the existing hole. Its an easy fix and will last unlike a new OE part.

Only thing I would add when taking out the component with the battery in it is be cautious the rubber pad beneath it doesn't come out. If it does the lock, unlock, trunk buttons can easily fall out, as happened to me. Great video, saved me time and money.

Hi! I have a 2009 Outlander,with this exact 🔑 model..It was purchased in 2013 and up until ab a month ago iv had zero problems with unlocking/locking or starting my car using it. However,like any other battery i noticed the red light getting dimmer more so the past few wks and now none at all...I should have gotten another battery now i know,but when i went to buy i was told by MANY ppl that if not inserted correctly (which from what i just watched looked super simple) that it made the programming mess up and they forked out anywhere from 150 to 400$ having to get it reprogrammed. So i called a guy that works at my local dealership and he says he can do it,place a new battery in and "make sure it doesn't need 2 be reprogrammed" for 10 bucks..my issue is he cannot get me in til next Monday and it took me 10min to get car started yesterday and iv got kids so obviously im worried we'll get stranded over the weekend..Can you please tell m if you had any issues after replacing your battery AND why in the world do they give us that extra key for "emergencies"like this,yet when i tried using it,the moment i tried to start car it said "Take key out immediately" and still did not start car??? It did however let me turn the car on,just not the engine..sorry for the long comment bt i wanna make sure i don't screw myself nor GET screwed by a dealer when really from what i see all i need is to replace it? Thank you and hope you'll see this soon!

I still can not connect to Bluetooth. Everything else works fine. I took apart and rewired still homenetwerks doesn't not show in my Bluetooth pairing. Any ideas ??

Does anyone have an issue with music cutting in and out? It seems to be proximity of my phone to the fan but even then it cuts in and out and it's even worse when the fan and music are on at the same time...

I will try to make this easy and helpfulll. Hire an electrician if your not comfortable with the installation The BLACK WIRE on the actual switch needs to terminate with the (constant HOT) now thats the Black wire (line side) in the romex going from your electrical panel to your electrical box where your switch will be installed ! If you turned off your breaker &r put wire nuts on all the black wires and safe them off and then turn your breaker back on and put a tester to each black wire .The one that is hot or you get 120 volts on is your constant hot! Wire nut that one to the black wire coming off your switch. Make sure all your Green (ground ) wires are terminated together and all your white ( neutral ) wires our terminated together. Next you need to terminate the red wire (switch leg) from the actual switch to the black wire thats in the romex that travels from from your switch box ( where your switch will be installed) up to your fan!

bob. u have to connect black wires to power and white together to nutrial and red runs up to fan/light. from switch so that give the switch the power to control what u use

How do u change the light from white to blue ? Is this one switch or 2 needed ? How do you like the quality of the Speakers? Thanks
