Why do they have to "mean" anything?

@@aqueelahmuhammad3493 Because when people create costumes, they are communicating something to those who see them. It’s a part of Hip-Hop history, so I’m interested is learning.

I don't know the origin of these outfits. Or why it's a popular style for this dance. But I remember being a young child in the 70s , completely blown away and mesmerized by these guys , the dancing , and yes , the outfits . For some reason it all comes together and works brilliantly. It was the first time in my life I'd seen these crazy big hats , the baggy knee high pants . My head at 7-8 years old watching them...🤯 I still love it , but nothing will ever replicate seeing it new , in the 70s as a kid. That shit was lit AF ..🔥

Te ves muy bonita en esa foto. Chale. Obvio te he extrañado mucho. Mucho, mucho.

So very cool. I DESPISE what the U.S. has done to Black culture, but absolutely love how Carol Burnett helped break barriers.

Dear friends, please know that Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior, is The WAY, The TRUTH, and The LIFE! He loves you so much. The greatest decision you will EVER make is welcoming Jesus Christ into your life right now!! Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life. Believe in His death on the cross, burial and resurrection for the sins of all human-kind and you will be saved. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, may Father God, our Creator bless you in the Glorious name of His Son, Jesus Chris our Lord and Savior. 🙏❤️

I remember watching this as a child. It influenced my dancing very much and I was one of the first people in my neighborhood to pop lock. I formed a dance group and we won several talent shows and always performed in clubs and parties. People would always crowd around and watch us in total amazement. Awesome memories.

yes indeed, God bless Carol Burnett, she had a rough childhood and that made her a wonderful human being, it makes sense to me that she would feature The Lockers...one of them goes on to become a famous comedian, the other to do breakdancing movies in the 80s.
