I have an idea for a ride . Travel thru hwy 12 then128, turn right on Ida Claton Road which turns into Western Mine Road when you cross the Sonoma and Napa county line. Then turn south onto hwy 29 over Mount St Helena thru the Napa Valley and concludeit with a stop in the city of Napa at a resturant.

Great music and video; better with a Suzuki C50. More power, hydraulic valves do not need adjusted, and wider gear ratio too.

Just rode Angeles Crest for the first time. It amazes me just how much action cameras distort elevation change. This looks almost flat, but in reality your always climbing or falling steeply. I hope that can be fixed in the future.

I bought a 08 vstar 650 in Nov, add a charger cable for iPhone, a phone case and a cup holder. The motorcycle can do the long trip for sure. I used to ride it about 200 miles round trip. The MPG is bit low about 36 MPG for the trip.

This is Felter onto a very small section of Calaveras. There's an intersection that wasn't shown, but I highly suggest you make that turn onto the rest of Calaveras. A looooot of fun :)

The wind is definitely an issue at speed. The screen helps a lot. She'll get a touch squirrel-y with the turbulence and higher rpms, so you really have to grab the bull by the horns, so to speak.

I miss both the Woodside/ La Honda area and La Honda Rd. as I have moved out of CA and to the East Coast.

Thanks for sharing! I see you have the Tracer 9 GT after doing a ride in Vancouver/Whistler.

I have a 2003 vstar 650 and ride it to work as much as possible. Mostly all interstate and I'm doing speeds of 75 80 most the way. Bike will do it all day and still has enough left to get away from trouble. Only gripe is it needs another gear.

This is definitely a bike for those who worry about things like spelling and punctuation. Listen, I've taken mine on a 10-day road trip to visit my daughter, had it doing 80 in the rain on the Interstate with semis front and back, and taken it camping in the Black Hills. It's light and maneuverable, and has a big frame with enough power. I wouldn't mind one more gear, but 65 - 70 mph is definitely its sweet spot.

You know what days/times page mill is empty? Every time I take that road it's always a truck or car I'm stuck behind, and there's few safe passing points..

I'm 5'9 235 lbs ..... the vstar has gone 110 mph (downhill with a tailwind). In truth cruising at 50-55 is SUPER comfortable, you could fall asleep. 55-60 slightly less comfortable 65 not very comfortable 70 and up not comfortable at all.
