Am i the only person who doesnt hate the bloodborne vial system? Early game sure, it gets tedious at times. But once you get to vicar amelia (like 10% of the game) usually you never REALLY have to worry about them, and having up to 25 of them (and starting with 20) is much better than 10ish max

2:15:53 I'm terrified of upsetting people, so I always feel really anxious and vulnerable when that happens on a stream. I don't understand how that person stating when weapon weight applies, and when it doesn't, (because the game never explains it) is the same as telling someone what to do, or how to play the game i.e. backseating. Like if someone is complaining about taking on extreme increases in damage because they're hallowed, I'd want to point out it's actually the tiny 'armor broken' symbol, so they know how to fix that IF they want to. But then they might yell at me like I'm a bad person, trolling the stream and making demands, and that feels so awful. I hate the idea of backseating. I like to see people play their own way. That makes it new and interesting.

So jealous! I wish I could play the game again for the first time. 😄

Very unique progression through the first half of the game. Never have I seen a first time player fight Capra before the Gargoyles or use Rikert as their main blacksmith. Good stuff.

Interesting that you were mentioning lore when you got to Demon Ruins. I kinda think the basics are, well what I wrote below. The following entries are sort of SPOILERS to those who have not played DS1 and DS2... Sort of... It's speculation of course. I mean who knows what's going on with lore anyway, except for maybe VaatiVidya? 1. DS1 - the world is relatively young, creation was not long ago, a crisis (the curse) caused the gods to disperse, altered humans live in the world along with gods in exile plus beasts/demons, the gods used to rule but they lost their grip, it is now it's a generally chaotic world full of the "wicked and the mad", the fire is fairly close to fading, timelines are somewhat altered, Lordran is severely affected but the entire world is kind of affected as well, the Chosen One either links the fire through sacrifice or walks away future uncertain 2. DS2 - thousands of years after DS1, the crisis (the curse) is spreading again, the world is mostly occupied by just humans as well as altered humans and beasts and not too many demons, the only gods on Earth are the daughters of Manus the rest are elsewhere, humans rule the world or try to, chaos is spreading but the fire is not that close to fading, timelines can be manipulated but they aren't altered yet, only Drangleic is fully affected but the curse is spreading, the Chosen One becomes the new ruler linking the fire or walks away 3. DS3 - I definitely have some thoughts but you have yet to play DS3. 😎

You can use a bonfire aesetic on the giant lord bonfire, and it will infinitely respawn bonfire aescetics and the giant lord, which will eventually net you close to 400k per kill, if you use all of the soul multiplier items. 😉

Liking DS2 the way you do makes me happier than a 'possum in a tree! It does have a lot to be appreciated. It's great! Maybe not monumental like DS1 and Bloodborne, but it's still a good game!
