I only include this one because it is a classic example of over-driving. It also didn't help that my tire pressures (which I was already running harder then normal) had gone up 4 pounds all around! Dropped it back down and had a much better 6th run.

As cliche' as this sounds ... As this was the last run before lunch and I had just had a DNF, I decided to just take it easy and get in a clean run with NO cones hit. It was my fasted time of the day and the fastest in my class to that point. Yep, once again "slower" is faster!

This time I collect 2 cones AND miss two gates for a DNF! Can you spot the missed cones?

In the dark with a cold gusting wind and a thunderstorm approaching ... State 4A Section 4, Girls Pole Vault. It was too dark for normal video or stills. Only the GoPro managed to get a viewable image. Winning height was actually 9' 1" but camera battery dies at 8'6"

March 2, 2012 Tornadoes in Capshaw/Harvest Alabama

March 2, 2012 Tornadoes in Capshaw/Harvest Alabama
You could not pay me to live in Harvest. In 1974 April 3rd it got hit 2 times the same night with in 30 minutes with a F5. In 1995 it got hit. In 2011 it got hit. Hell no
This whole area is similar, almost every spot has seen a severe tornado within the last 50 years, lesser ones far more frequently, and multiple strikes within the same 24 hours has happened a lot. While you're at it, add the Moore OK area to your list of places not to be during tornado season.
@@P_RO_ yes I agree. I lived here all my life. People move here with all the Jobs today, I don't think they know the history.
@@darrylclaxton2757 My sister and her daughter lived in Piedmont during that time. Needless to say I was worried because all they had was to get under the stairs in their bottom-floor apartment; luckily everything stayed south of them. They knew almost nothing about tornadoes till they were moved in and started meeting neighbors and co-workers. Turned out that the place had once been partially wrecked by a tornado many years past.
I was outside watching the cell form above my house just north of nick Davis
Why did you get like 9 attempts
I'm watching tornado videos today
That's my school! Legacy Elementary is my school I was in Kindergartner. Now I'm in 5th
I could tell you were in 5th grade. You have a squidward dabbing profile pic
if the kid wants a chance at the state record, make sure he swings like Renaud and has to row at the top instead of relying all on the bend to get him the extra few inches
Thank you to whomever recorded this and posted! Margaret is my daughter, and I am so happy to see the video!
i was in ga but this happened on my birthday
Wow. Learn how to operate a HAM radio and to could be helping out when there are possible tornadoes or any at all
No, I think summer just gets Thunder storms, and spring is the tornado season
Job well done. Before and after. There were 4 tornadoes in all that day.
So creepy when you're right there at Capshaw and then the radio announcer starts talking about it. Fantastic footage!
@TheOzoneLayerHatesMe it seems to happen a lot more in the spring due to the changes in the climate
@LFFG1 yes definitely, the tornado from April was an EF-5 this one was rated at an EF-3 however it was still quite violent
@DeathAfterPain I've viewed your video. Kudo's on having the presence of mind to try and record what you did. Even bigger kudo's for being smart enough to go for cover when you did. Had this one become as big as last April's killer tornado (that missed THAT store by only about 1000 yards) ... you might not be posting anything. It's tough to be in that situation and keep a level head.
I was hit by this tornado on Hwy. 53 at advance auto parts after It passed over those houses and then over sparkman high school.
Watching from Canada here! UNBELEIVABLE SEVERE weather you guys are getting!
My house at 4:17
Amazing footage, great video quality
Thanks for posting this. I knew exactly where you were since I drive those roads every day.
@LFFG1 I hope you will be safe, my prayers are with you
@momotous When you hear them talk about a second tornado on the ground and the "rocketcam" and seeing a large funnel cloud from Research Park Blvd ... we are looking at THAT storm.
Gonna be a bad tornado season guys. Be prepared and have a plan.
