Car/Child seats in 2014 Toyota Sequoia Limited
Hi TH-cam viewers, welcome to my first video. I created this video to help others with the features and functions of this large family SUV. We are a family of 8. We have 6 kids ages 10,7,4, twins that are 3 and a 17 month old.I wanted to show how our Child Seats fit and how many . When we where researching for a large SUV there are not many choices. I was also having a hard time finding info on how and how many Childs Seats you could fit in the Sequoia. I had a few viewers ask me to do a video. I hope this helps. :-)

Exactly the video I’ve been looking for! Thanks so much! Upgrading from a 4runner to a sequoia and wanted to make sure we could fit all the kids. Have two and would love at least one more kid and would rather not go the minivan route lol

With three kids in car seats would you still do a sequoia or stick with a 4runner?
@@maddiesaid4567 We also have a 2015 4Runner Limited with a 3rd row seat. We did have 5 of our kids in the 4Runner right after we had our twins. It was tight but we managed to make it work. With 3 three in slim fit car seats it will work but it’s tight. The Sequoia there is no issue and as the kids grow, you will be more happy with the Sequoia with the room and space.The 4Runner with 3 across will be tight but doable. The thing we ran into with the 4Runner is we had 3 rear facing car seats in the 2nd row and the outer ones where very close to almost touching the doors. I hope this helps. As of now our current set up is we have 3 forward facing car seats in the 2nd row and 2 high back boosters in the 3rd row with our oldest sitting normally on the outer side of the 3rd row. :-)
What years range sequoias do you recommend that would be similar to yours?
This Generation is the 2nd Generation. They came out in 2007 all the way to 2022. Minor changes throughout the years. But for 2017 -2022 had a face lift and some nice changes. Depends on your price point. But if you can I would def buy 2017-2022. If not 2014 -2016. This website explains the differences in model years. Thanks for this. This generation Sequoia actually is roomier and more functional than the new ones. Will be looking for a well taken care of used one here in about 2 years.
I agree. They took a lot of useful features away on the new one. We have been very happy with ours and currently have 109K on it. Only downside is fuel mileage, but we knew that before we bought it.
Been searching for info on the Sequoia and car seats. Thank you. You might want to re-label video to ensure it has Car Seats in title as i'm sure many others are looking for same info.

Nice 4Runner man. I just installed some headers in mine and now I'm in the process of upgrading my springs and throwing a 1.5" body lift in.
+Kevin Bellman Nice. How do you like your headers, and how was the install? I need to replace my originals manifold. I have the ToyTec BOSS Kit. Love it.
I absolutely love them! They are Doug Thorley shorty headers, ceramic coated. They were $780 shipped, took about a month or so to get but worth every penny. My factory gasket was going and I'd been thinking about headers for awhile so what better excuse to get them. I plan on making some videos on it, one from POV and the other a drive by.
I had muffler shop install since I don't weld. Went with high flow cats too. It was an 8 hour job, had to lift motor up to get the cats in since it's such a tight squeeze. If your gonna do it yourself or have shop do it, spray the manifold with penetrating oil for a week before you do the work. If you don't, you run the risk of breaking the studs off inside the block.
