+Brian Do you dumbass it's called a smoker because of the mist of smoke that comes out of the exhaust because of the oil mixed in the gas. It's not called a "2 smoker" that's just a nickname some dumbass made up because it rhymes with 2 stroke.

i ride and fix dirtbikes, atm im on a yz250f, I'd say if you are doing endurance, a 250f is great for anything you throw at it. Aswell it wont have any engine problems aslong as you care for it. The engine wont burn out aslong as your radiators are working good. read your bike manual, it will tell you your maintenance intervals. But i'd say for long rides like you will do. Do an oil change atleast every 10 hours, that could even be pushing it.

a 250f's tank would not get you 8 hours of riding, you would be lucky with 4 hours atleast

Anyone who says 4 strokes have more raw power is a dick. My rm125 when compared with my mates yz250f is a fucking beast. Nothing can top the feeling

The facts are that a newly rebuilt 125 2 stoke will make 33hp between 8000 and 11000 rpm. The 250f will make 32.2hp between 8000 and 13500 rpm. The 450 thumper will make 49hp between 8000 and 12500 rpm, and the 250 2t will make 49.9hp between 6000 and 9000 rpm, so that states that it is in fact easier to win on a 4 stroke, but if you've been riding a 2 stroke your whole life, you'll leave me in the dust. In reality a 4 stroke will beat a 2 stroke most of the time because of how much easier it is to ride a 4 stroke. Now if both were professionals, the bikes would be pretty much equal. However, the 2 stroke is much more fun to ride IMO.

There's not much in life that's better than riding in the mountains. I love living in Utah for that very reason. (Oh and it's legal to have 7 or more wives here...LOL)

For racing id go four stroke just because of the raw power, but for trail riding id go with a two just because theyre easier to work on and are less costly to fix when somehting in the motor goes. Both are awesome though.

None of those bikes are limited by power, the 4t is possibly a bit heavier, and therefore more stable, but still heavier and less flexible. They're simply not supposed to be compared, just like busses and trucks aren't supposed to be compared. So please, stop saying one's shit and the other one's great.

I own a 2010 and a 2011 yz450f, and had a bunch of yz' 125's n 250's in the past , but my hats off to the 4 strokes I never thought I'd say that , atleast until I owned one..... 4 strokes all the way
