The film is very artistic; the cinematography is breathtaking with gorgeous panoramas of a wild, evocative and mysterious landscape and fantastic close-up shots. The folk music is rich, pure and melodic and the sounds from nature entrancing. This black and white film has a haunting, vivid, timeless quality. A bold, beautiful and buoyant undertaking.
