My dad bought a trx450r brand new the first year in 2004. At the time I was still 12 and riding a 1999 blaster. I was always more of a fan of the yfz or banshee. But then my dad let me ride his trx. Even though I thought the yfz looked way cooler. You could never beat a Honda. And that’s coming from a true Yamaha boy smh. The front fenders and seating position of the yfz just feels like a child’s bike compared to the raw trx with kick start

Mine failed but had oil and petehager also said his did the same thing I think the newer model raptor stock bearings are not made to really last long

Thanks for doing this video! It look's like you went with a 13/40 sprocket? How did you like it? As far as I can tell the 14/36 stock ratio is ideal for motocross(Hence, the name "Quadracer") and 13/40 is the way to go for hooligans like me looking for general quad mayhem. And there's the fact I tried to do that donut one time and ended up launching myself off the quad cuz I couldn't get the back wheels to spin.

Last time i checked....a complete rebuild involved tearing motor down and replacing piston/cylinder/rings ect.......better title for this video would be something along the lines of "ltz250 carb replacement" or ltz250 carburetor repair" lol. Click bait

I have the newer 2018 V Star version. In the then-new Raven Black Metallic. I always clean and oil the filter cover seal. Similar to what you do on a car engine's filter. Interesting that the 2011 takes 1.4L? My '18 takes 1.6L. I use Yamalube 10w-40 for the temp ranges we get here in the GLR.

Hey bud I’m building my trx450 into a dunner. I’m going with some skat trak gliders on the rear but I feel like cheap fronts vs pricey fronts won’t make too much of a difference. What u got done to ur bike? In the video it looked like ur bike was pretty damn quick.
