Triumph Thunderbird 900 / Sport - Fuel Tap (Dis-)Assembly
After a couple of years, the fuel tap of your old Triumph might be leaking like mine. If so - here you can see, what parts are inside and should probably be replaced. The part number of the two identical gaskets is the following: 2400086-T0301
If you have good tips on fuel taps of other motorcycles that are cheaper and also fit the thunderbird, let us know in the comments please!
Yours,
Bene

Nice clear video. I gave my tap a good cleaning before the end of the season last year but didn’t remove the valve. Now I’ll check mine out just to be thorough. Out of curiosity, have you come across any replacement filters for the fuel tap? One of mine seems to have a crack in the plastic but I can’t find new ones anywhere without buying a whole new tap. Anyhow, great video! Greetings from Canada 👍🏻

Hi! (Super late response, I know... after all, it started leaking again pretty shortly and I would guess that the round plastic part with the channels inside was the problem. So I had to swallow the pill and get a new one. (Wayyy to expensive for what it is.)
