In Australia you can fly to a maximum altitude of 120 metres. I just got a new drone and decided to take it to the limit and see what was possible. The DJI mini 3 pro that I have also lets you point your camera straight down for a birds eye view

Where is this beach?

Looks so enjoyable and relaxing! It’s good to appreciate the beauty around us eh
Why rush eh, the journey is as important as the destination
A huge thankyou to all those who watch, like and subscribe. Its a great help and much appreciated and together we can encourage more and more people to get outdoors!
A nice little video and great trip. Looks like a nice cruisey section . did you have trouble finding suitable camping spots ?. Did you just camp where ever or did you use designated camping spots ?
Hi thanks for the comment. Plenty of camping options really, you would not have a problem. Its a lovely section to paddle. of course it could be done much faster than we did it, but as you can see the group I was with has low value of speed :-)
Not sure I like the voice of the singer, a bit jarring. However the end music was just perfect for the video
Beautiful video Larry! Thanks for posting, shows so well our beautiful country which I’m unlikely to see in the way you portray.
Thanks Jane. Used to watch the news and all it did was convince me the world is a terrible place. Now I escape to nature every chance I get and it convinces me the world is still a beautiful place
@@larrylivinginthenow I so agree Larry, thank you for sharing the many bits of our Lords creation that I haven’t seen.
nice to relive a great weekend on the water! Great ending
Thanks Carola. Great paddling with you. Hope we see more of you on future trips
@@larrylivinginthenowFor sure!
A great stretch of river. I was the guy in the yellow kayak that you paddled past about half-way down to Nagambie... Great video, enjoyed the scenes
Thanks Michael. Yes I remember seeing you there. Great weekend paddling
Good vid, but I was hoping to see how you packed it away! Buggered if I can get it to fit back in the bag it came in!
I lay it out flat after deflating and fold it half length ways and then fold it into sections no wider than the bag and then lay the bag next to the folded kayak and slide it in. It should fit without too much effort I find.
What a nice and relaxing trip . perfect weather no hassles , spoilt for choices for camping spots . I will have to get myself to the Murray at some stage . Subscribed . Check out some of my kayak camping videos if you like
Great to hear from you and thanks for your comments. The Murray is just superb
@@larrylivinginthenow That section looks pretty easy going . have seen other videos where the banks are really muddy and high so makes it much harder to find a suitable camp site .downstream from Tocumwal there is a huge green patch .Barmah National Park? Just wilderness . That looks like a great section . if the banks are not too steep or high .
Yeah the section from Yarrawonga to Tocumwal has an abundance of great camp sites and lovely sandy beaches. It also gets popular and crowded. As you suggested the next section enters the forest and camp sites are few and far between. Beautiful part of the river to paddle though. Just got back for a a paddle down to Echuca. One night we had to contend with mud to find a spot we could get out and camp, was not ideal but we took it thinking we may regret it if we don't. Lupmans campsite is the last recognised camp for some time@@BushKayakersCampingAustralia
Thanks Rod
Know the feeling to have someone by your side, same feeling now as way back when, congrats, we sure are blessed. Have a great 2024
I've bought one of these kayaks. I can't seem to use the pressure gauge to check the air pressure in the two main compartments am I doing something wrong? It seems to fit the valve in the floor ok.
Hi Michael. I had the same issue. After a number of emails back and forth they said that the pressure guage was only for the floor. The two sides it seems you just go by feel till they are firm
Has anyone bought this kayak? Love to hear any comments you have about it
Got it for black Friday sales too. Very spacious and comfy for 2 adults. Efficient for relaxing cruising in calm waters and little current in rivers. Unfortunately the top blue polyester shell coating of one of the cylinder had a 10cm rip after the 10 times of use and I'm still not too sure how to fix it. Another downside is that the blue fibre shell takes a few days to dry totally inside out or else it would get mouldy.
Very informative Larry
Always the encourager. Thanks Jane

Very special lady!
Love ya work Larry, you are a great video maker, such a good definition video and a nice soundtrack, Larry living in the Now - the best time to live for sure. I am looking at a small poster in my music room/computer room, well half of our garage that's been converted and its a poster of Piglet and Pooh Bear it says "" What day is it, asked Pooh. " It's today ", squeaked Piglet, "My favourite day," said Pooh ! Have a great day Larry and Peter.
Ahh the eternal wisdom of Pooh! Thanks for your kind words . Keep rocking in your music room/computer room/garage. Have an awesome day!
People pay a lot of money for those mud baths!😂

Absolutely "soporific" to watch. I appreciate your generosity in sharing your cruise with us. Perhaps a naive question, but since so many Aussie paddlers and fishermen talk about the plethora of crocs, on their TH-cam channels, I wonder if there was any such danger in the Murray River... Cheers from Japan.
No crocs in our part of the country. They are found up the top end of the country Thanks for your encouragement
Hope to canoe along the Murray soon. Do you boil or filter water for drinking or cooking?
We only paddled four days and was able to carry sufficient water. You would need to either carry water or have a filter system. I did use a small amount of River water to boil for coffee.
Thanks for taking the time to make/share this video. It would give many people an idea of what to expect. Cheers.
Thanks for your encouragement. Ben a long time since I made a video and had forgotten everything
Thanks for the review. Recently got such a kayak, I hope I will love it. Which floor are you using? Standard or Drop-Stitch Floor?
The Expedition Elite comes standard with a drop stitch floor.
How deep is it Larry. Great video mate just scribed to your channel. Cheers Don.
It’s a while ago now. From memory it was shallow in places but not enough to hinder paddling. Thanks for your comments.
@@larrylivinginthenow Thank you for your reply. God bless. Cheers Don.
Hi Larry, great sentiments, your presentation in the presence of nature, rather than on a chair on a stage, which is still good for many listeners, but engaging extra senses such as the sights of nature for your backdrop, brings home a point of being in the NOW, enjoying the moment that's right in front of you, or for that matter bearing the moment, that may be unpleasant without wanting it to be anything other than it is, madness anyway if you are seeking what is to be something other than it is. At my daughters graduation over 20 years ago, a student spoke and said something like this, probably a quote from Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle, maybe Michael Singer or Wayne Dyer, or someone just like you. She said yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery and today is a gift, that's why it's called THE PRESENT. In a way while posting this comment, it dawned on me that although the comment quoted was in the past, it still has intrinsic value now, I guess it is impossible to not think about and recount past events, like your 50th birthday and comments made by your brother about your ability to remain grounded in the now. As I see it, and experienced it, you can't actually stop thinking about things past or future, besides you really can only have those thoughts in the present moment. It's s probably not the thoughts about past or present that causes grief or anxiety for people, it's about wanting things to be different to what they are. it's simply accepting this moment, thoughts and all, that for me can make the difference, I think the real key to living in the now, and it's just my opinion, and good gracious, we all have an opinion, it's Acceptance that unlocks the narrow door to this moment, the doorway to Now. Good onya Larry, good vid. Cheers Rod 😃
Loved it Larry, I'm impressed, tried putting up a couple of rides myself. Your camera work is very steady, what camera did you use? The editing is excellent, what program did you use to string the vid together. Well done, like your channel name, Living In the Now, there is no time like it. Cheers Rod 😃
Thanks Rod for your more than generous comments. I just used a GoPro and edited on iMovie. Your comment will inspire me to start making videos again
Thanks for the reply, you should keep making movies, you have a talent for it. Good onya Larry, cheers Rod 😃
did love the smell of the sewage sludge drying beds
That's a beauty! Would love to paddle one of these for a test drive someday. I have an AE Convertible with a backbone. Love it when it is in the water. It's really comfortable to paddle alone or with two people. Hard to topple, good speed and keeps a heading. The drawback is the setup time, the cleaning afterwards and the time needed to dry out the fabric for storage. For daytrips, I prefer my Itiwit X500. Has practically the same speed, can be loaded for multi day trips as well and is way more easier to setup, clean and pack up. No drying needed afterwards. It is a bit more tippy, though. Not really a problem for me on rivers and lakes. Heard they changed the bottom hull design in later iterations.
Thanks for your comments. I have heard good things about the Itiwit kayas. Every boat has its pros and cons. You just got to find one that suits you best and get out there
Been out there twice now on my little fishing kayak yesterday I had two good strikes but couldn't hook them
It's THE inflatable kayak that will get you back when the waves and wind kick up. Built like a tank. I had both models, yellow and the Elite with the drop stitch floor.
so icredible job. see you on my side-;))
Thank you my friend
Hi Larry came across this the other day, very informative thanks! Can I ask, how did the trip go? I’m keen to hike some of the great south west walk (maybe cobboboonee to moleside) and then packraft from Moleside to nelson. How was the raft on the river? Cheers and thanks

Great video Larry. I love kayak camping too…. It gets you places others rarely tread and returns you to the adventures of childhood.
Great to hear from you. Thanks for the encouragement. The older I get the more I love it
Thanks for this wisdom. Kahil Gibran stated your happiness is carved from your sorrow, as in our dualistic world both states are the norm and you can only appreciate the good via the contrast with the ghastly. I also like the Dalai Lama’s take on it…. DO NOT confuse happiness with pleasure…. Pleasure is transient, whereas happiness is a “law of average” …. It usually comes via dining on some DIRT. You eat some dirt, smile….. and if the dirt is nutritious it yields a bountiful crop of meaningful experiences …. Namaste.
Thank you Larry! I recently did a kayak venture along the creek and just loved looking at the houses that back onto it, and how people living in them embraced being there; some with big guestures like built in pizza ovens or balinese inspired furniture, others, more humble, but still clearly loving the life which celebrates nature and kayak or two. What sweet inspiration this was. Love your big heart for God.
Hey thanks Felicity, just reading your comment bought back so many memories of that trip. Thanks for your encouragement. So much appreciated
