Today I gave quick game analysis of nice bluff, you can write a comment if you ever played this one.
Stratego - Unknowingly playing one of the best players on the site
มุมมอง 116หลายเดือนก่อน
In this game I played ranked incognito game. During the game I felt like I was playing somebody strong, but didn't not expect to play anyone nearly that good. Who was I playing? You will find out at the end of the video.
Open league round one

Very poor play by me and unfortunate start of the tournament
Casual game against Skyfall, 600 + rating

In this game I attempted to take down one of the giants. Did I succeed? Was it the sme as story of David beating Goliath? You can write your guess about the outcome in the comment section.
Revenge on Daddyankee

In this video I played player that previously beat me. Now I can stop feeling bad for a loss I had with him before.
Stratego - Comeback from bad start

In this video my opponent attacked on my weak side and gained solid material advantage, but because he didn't know when to stop I managed to comeback.
Stratego - Antilotto setup, Live commentary
มุมมอง 2664 หลายเดือนก่อน
I tried live commentrary for the first time and I might stick with it. I played one of my favourite setups, which is designed to deal with marshall and general blitzers and lottoers. As you will see in the video, the setup didn't disappoint me. If you enjoyed the video subscribe so you won't miss another content like this.
Stratego - game against CPT_Dirtbag game 3
มุมมอง 1334 หลายเดือนก่อน
Another game against CPT_Dirtbag, quite the opposite of what happened in our previous games, but definetly looking forward to our next matches.
Stratego - One Lane Attack
มุมมอง 1605 หลายเดือนก่อน
This game showcase the importance of using all three lanes. When you block of a side, keep in mind that the only person that will not be able to make a use of them is you, because your opponets can bust open with miners anytime they feel like it. Therefore you should not block it off entirely. Occasionally you can put one bomb up front, but even that will woren mobility of your pieces
Stratego - How to make a use of intel
มุมมอง 2495 หลายเดือนก่อน
This game I got all the intel you could imagine and I reveal the secret tactics of ancient Rome to punishing it 😉
Stratego - Match against Duncanbor
มุมมอง 1575 หลายเดือนก่อน
I was just playing on site Strategus when I saw Duncanbor@DuncanborStratego creating a challenge. He played well, but was a bit too predictable, so I got a lot of intel and all of his scouts. Because of the huge lead in intel I was able to get away with many bluffs and when he finally decided to call something it actually was defended that time. Wish the best to my opponent and can't wait till ...
Stratego - Game against NorthNemesis, Very strong player
มุมมอง 2595 หลายเดือนก่อน
This game I played against player over 400 rated. He played very well and I learned a lot from this game. Definetly recommend you to watch till the end, because few moves before the end of the game, he did something very iinstructive which I did not expect at all.
Stratego - Grinding out the Win
มุมมอง 1745 หลายเดือนก่อน
This game I played on the site Strategus against over 300 points rated opponent with username ConKord. He went pretty quickly for attack with his marshall and general, which allowed me to play many bluffs due to which I got few of his strong pieces. But I have done a poor job when it comes to converting that and allow him to lotto and get miners and scouts and even sergant whom I really needed....

Colonel is pronounced like “Kernle”.
GG brother 💪🏻
Wonderful and very instructive. Do you have a stratego basics video planned? As in what should someone who just learned the rules be looking into? Thanks :)
Thank you so much for your kind comment, I really appreciate it! I haven’t thought about making a Stratego basics video yet, but it’s a really interesting idea. Maybe I’ll consider it in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!
Very interesting to watch... i am a novice at chess.. have a lichess account though would like to see some more. need to put it on 0.25 speed though lol
Alright, well next time I'll play something slower
At 13:58, after you moved the captain instead of the major, he could have won the game.
Yes, you are right, both me and my opponent were playing pretty quickly by that point and neither one of us noticed
Good to see you still playing! Fun story, I was playing my girlfriend last week over the board. I bluffed by picked up a bomb, considered moving it but placed it back in the same position...she "took it" with a general. I laughed but she still won. Good stuff as always.
Great bluff I have to say. I have never played stratego over the board but its nice to hear stories as such.
@Panther-64sq can you link the site you use to play? I'd like to give it a try. Many thanks.

Not a terrible game, just unlucky early
I havent played stratego in forever. Miss it, watching the videos.
Too bad, wish everyone would have time for a few games every once a while
GG! Unfortunate loss of spy. But you got ur revenge later on 😜 Congratulations on reaching the playoffs!!!
Poor game actually and the ending is not a hard fought win but just very very unsportmanlike. Should've offered the draw instead.
I have to disagree. The game was designed to test the limits of my opponent's skill and decision-making under pressure. Offering a draw in a situation where mistakes could still be made would undermine the challenge and the essence of competitive gaming. It’s about seeing who can stay sharp until the very end, not giving free draws when someone hasn’t fully earned it. The ending was not about being unsportsmanlike, but about respecting the rules of the game and rewarding precise play. If the opponent had played perfectly, the draw would have been well deserved.
You were already lucky that he didn't went down with his miner at 13:57
@@Snoom5 You are right, we both were playing bit too quickly by that point and we both missed it. It could have been a disaster
Your center counterattack was too weak..u left yourself vulnerable...under his attack :-0 psychwarrior
Hi m8, im a little late to the party, any chance of seeing that second video please ?
@JohnSteer-e8h Hi, I was asked by my opponent from the second game to postpone uploading it until he finishes a tournament in which he's currently playing. Hopefully I'll upload sometime next week.
@@Panther-64sq . Many thanks for your reply. 👍🏻
The common theme in this seems to be: Don't reveal your highest piece, it makes reading bluffs and executing bluff near impossible.
@@gilbert3579 You are definitely correct
On 5:14 when he lost his General was a turning tide for you. The whole dynamic changed. On 6:52 another very bad decision, and he lost his Colonel too. Good game 👌
That person was not the sharpest of players, good game.
Setup seems to work well against opponents who like to lotto. Thanks for your commentary
@@phillipregnier5441 Yes it does, but in few days I will upload video in which the setup worked on one of the best players on the site and I managed to beat player above 600 elo
Looking forward to that video
Good thoughts in taking known piece that moved, when you know where the marshall and general are
GG! Panter. I like the little edits you put in there in the beginning! Keep up the good work!
Very interesting endgame indeed.
Just an FYI. You can hide outcome results when you show a replay, this can help gain a larger audience potentially if they do not know outcome of the game.
Nice video!!
You are a great teacher and player!
Hey! this was a fun one and you definitely outplayed me. Here's a couple of my thoughts during the game. When I attacked the lieutenant with my major around the 6:10 mark, I did that because I had a lot of known pieces on the board with very little info on you. I thought doint this created a little more breathing room for myself and gave some info. I was also surprised that you attacked my major around the 6:50 mark, I really like that location behind the major for marshal, but good on you for taking the risk as it paid off for you.
My mind process when taking that major went like this. It¨s unlikely that the major is protected by marshall, so there is really good chance I would get free major. But if it actually is protected, I will finally be able to attack all the targets you allowed me to know. So it wasn't that big of a risk considering that even If I lost the colonel I would still be in the lead.
GG! And once again thank you for sharing your thoughts about the game!
Nice game and good commentary. 16+1 is 17 Sub now ;) - see you on the battlefield
Nice video! Strong opponent indeed as I experienced the other day! GG! And instructive commentary!
Awesome match! 👍
Nice vid!!!!
gg’s Panther, I’m glad this game was very instructive for you.
GG! Hard fought win being down so much material. Nice commentary
You could have saved the spy for at least a few moves by moving your scout up and over instead of moving the major, but then your tripod skeleton is obvious and your spy is still vulnerable to another scout, so not a good situation either way. Also, if you want to keep suspense about the result in the videos, there is an option in the settings to hide the results.
You are exactly right about the spy, but I wasn't sure about how much of my setup do I wanna reveal. Thanks for the tip about hiding the result, I might use it at some point.
Up for a match on Strategus? My name is NorthNemesis.
Nice Game. Thanks for your commentary
Nice comeback
GG! You are exactly right about me forgetting pieces. That's definitely something to work on. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts about the game, keep on the good work!
Thank you for your kind comment, I might make a video for tips to remember all pieces soon
@@Panther-64sq that would be very helpful!
GG! Thanks for sharing your insights of the match! It was sure a lot of fun. Some of the "lotto's" where calculated but you are right, it's to risky, but I figured I need to take the risk because you're a strong player. It was a all or nothing approach from my side. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the game so we can learn something!
Happy to provide, yes you definetly lottod very well and I am sure you had reasons why youwent for it, I am still trying to fully understand some of your decisions, but you have done very good job when it comes to risks.
@@Panther-64sqMy decisions were based on little things because I also didn't really know what to expect. For example some bluffs were to try you get to waste scouts, I assumed your flag was like most cases on the marshall side. So that's why I assumed the other side was the weak side. And since you brought a 2nd piece over to defend, I thought the chance of being a tripod in the corner would be small. If you got any questions I willing to answer them!
Good video. Nice commentary
GG! I like the W bomb structure, used that quite alot aswell. Good Content.
Why do you say he can win with two stronger pieces when you have 6 minor pieces on him tho? You can easily pin both his high pieces with 2 of your unknown pieces because he cant risk them being miners. Lot of oppurtunity to win for you in such a scenario
Good question. I suppose you are talking about the position right after he traded colonel with me. If you'll look at his setup at that moment(21:25), there are four places where he could have closed flag. In that moment there are three pieces that moved of which neither gives me a clue to where his flag is. I have moved with five pieces of which both of my majors are known. So he knows that the two sergeants and captain are liabilities. What he has to do is attack them with majors. What will likely happen is that I will have to trade both of my majors for his and he will likely get atleast one sergean to it. and in that position he will have extra major and three captains against two. He would definetly be able to overpower the other known sergeant, but that would have taken him some time within which I'd have to guess where his flag is(It turned out he had open flag, which I did not expect, so I'd have problem even in that case). I might get lucky to bluff one of my sergeant as a miner to get some whereabout of his flag, but it is either that I will get lucky and find his flag, or he will just over power me. I am not saying you are not right that 6 pieces is a lot of pieces to do something with, I am just saying that it's super risky what I have done and there was a big chance, that if he would have made some proper bluffs, I likely lost. Hope I made it clear, if you want to, I could make a short video in which I would deeply explained it. Also it's very possible, that my view is not objective and I am overestimating power of two unkillable pieces because I had so much success when playing with them against bigger army.
@@Panther-64sq Thats true that you dont know his tripod. I made the assumption that you knew it was the middle one
@@Panther-64sqyou are selling yourself short here with this line of thinking. Given the piece advantage you had at 21:26, he was going to be forced to move pieces to reveal his setup regardless because he needs to find your last 2 miners. If you had no miners left and his flag was bombed in, then it is more likely you would have lost because you have no miners to get to his flag which makes it easier for him to trap your remaining pieces at that point. The trick to winning an end game like this has he not lottoed your bomb with his major would be to send non-miners up as bluffs. He has to respect that any pieces that comes on his side of the board could be a miner so he is naturally going to try to trap whatever the first piece is that moves up. Then from there you have to send other pieces up the lanes to apply more pressure until he is forced to make a decision. I think either way you would have won this game because you had command of the board with having 2 concealed miners in your arsenal.
@@TEDREN-w7k Good point, yet it's still very risky and I am not garanted to win if he reads me corectly. But you're right about implying that he is under lot of pressure
