That rifle badge isn't sharpshooter. It's expert.
In the picture, if im not mistaken, he has an Army Commendation Medal with Oak leaf cluster, not a Good Conduct Medal.
Thank you for your service Master Sergeant Castro. A true hero.
Great collection. Thanks for sharing this video and this gallant man's story of service. Mr. Castro would be proud of you.
1939 - 45 Star, Pacific Star and War Medal 1935 - 45. The naming service on British medals was offered by the high street pharmaceutical company “Boots” after the war for a small fee.
Your audio is terrible. See ya!
How did you get these items? What are you doing with these items? Do you try to locate a relative to return them to. Also, that’s a Sergeant chevron in the shadowbox not corporal. And I couldn’t even continue to watch this video after the first minute as you’re all over the place. I hope you’re putting these items in a museum or trying to locate someone that was his family member.
Those chevrons look different and cool.
Could you direct me to someone or some place that could help me identify my father's ribbons? He served in the US Navy as an enlisted and as an officer from 1934-1964. I have his ribbons (there are a total of 11) and although I've been able to ID six of them, the other five are a complete mystery. I've gone out an looked at the US Navy's chart of ribbons and awards, but the five ribbons that I'm trying to ID aren't listed. Any ideas? Thank you!
I would suggest making an account on the US Military forum and posting photographs of the ribbons. There is a section on the forum for item identification.
@@The_Field_Marshall Thank you!
That Ike jacket is identical to my fathers jacket he had when he was in the Army Air corps (5th air corps), issued prior to his service in the Korean war.
Awesome I bought a dress jacket from the SAS from ww2
For the price you paid, that's a very good bargain !
Cool
Great collection. Tour of duty.
Hello l have 3 GEORGIVS VID
Great family grouping, Albert serving at HMS Pembroke would mean he was based and served in Chatham, Kent. HMS Pembroke was the name of the shore establishment. There was a Royal Naval Hospital at Chatham and is now an NHS Hospital. I think your videos are great, keep them coming.
Thank you for the clarification about HMS Pembroke, that was quite confusing while I was researching.
@@The_Field_Marshall No problem, all shore establishments have HMS _________ eg if a British sailor was based in the USA their record would say HMS Saker or if they went for training their record would show the name of the shore establishment they went to.
I want to sell please reply
I have 3 GEORGIVS VID
But l am in Kenya
Very cool.
Glad you liked it, big fan of the channel!
The dog tag is probably an error. I was given 3 different sets because they kept making them with typos
Why do they do that?!

The cord is a french fourragere it is a unit award
Nice collection of medals you got! Is that the gold merit medal ?
Great video and grouping, please get a tripod as really hard to read documents when the camera is so jerky.
Beautiful piece of history right there. Take care of it 🙏🏼
He was a Signal Corps Officer assigned to the 3rd Air Force. Helping with their communication and electronic equipments. This is the standard Officer footlocker style to carry his belongings around.
I've got a US Silver star named DeRamus. According internet he served in WW2 USAF Italy and southern Europe. God bless you sir!!
Super nice collection sir.
Fascinating. Thank you for sharing this.
Are officer uniforms supposed to have the name tag on it?
It's dependent on the type of uniform and era. Fatigues and dress uniforms dependent on the era are vastly different.
While in England pre-invasion they would have had name tags. This doesn't appear to be CC2 treated, so I doubt it was ever worn in combat.
Nice finds
Ayeee
