Thanks, That's basically a compliment. :) I was going for a ship that was mass produced and would be a 'background player' in most cases, but can be customized and personalized be an enterprising captain to make it more their own.

It's a Civilian transport. From the docking bay you go immediately into ship systems/controls. Forward is the cockpit. On the starboard side there is a door straight into the cargo bay (3x2 Stroud) since the first thing you'll likely need access to is interior cargo room given it's job/design. From the starboard rear corner you enter into a workshop, again, as its primary job is moving things around, having a space for work/repair right off the main cargo hold makes for functional use of space. In a door port from the rear of the work area is your first crew compartment. continuing straight ahead is a large crew area. (2x2 Stroud) for relaxing/stretching while you're on a longer voyage. Immediately aft is a door to the Captains Quarters. Going straight forward all the way to the port side is another crew quarters. Back in the 2x2 living hab, forward port you have access in to the mess hall. This arrangement is nice because all of the living space is outside of the area where the local planetary dock workers/teamsters might be while loading/unloading freight. If this is confusing/a maze, the problem might be you. ;) But it's not your fault... Trolls generally hunker under a bridge so not a lot of navigating rooms or anything like that. Just a littler shelter to wallow in your own filth.

Thanks, a lot of the builds I post are things that come out of just playing with the builder and experimenting with a shape/concept. I wanted to try side engines and a side cockpit. Like how it worked. Cockpit view in flight is cool.

Thanks! I still come back to it myself and just really like it. It's one of my favourites because of the ability to customize the habs behind the forward corridor. Basically its a true jack of all trades in my head. ;)

I find you don;t even need to full C-Class upgrade, the best/most dps weapons in the game are A and C, so you lose some alphastrike damage but n biggie, and that leaves you significant tonnage/reduces weight and gives you a bit more speed acceleration. But overall, its a good little ship. My in game one thoughis _huge_ and C-Class because I turned it into a mobile base. :)

I'm not the best shipbuilder, there are plenty who make really cool ships, partially because I refuse to do mods again in another Bethesda game where curating my mods and fixing the game every patch becomes a thing. ;) But I like to share to do exactly what you mentioned. I've gotten so much inspiration from other people at r/Starfieldships.

@johngrossund4112 got Nexus mods and search for uc vigilance, it's a saved file, also have a few other ships.. but to use it till need to have the required mods mentioned in it

Yeah, the game is pretty hollow, but the Ship Building hits me like Settlement Building in FO4 did. This time around I am eschewing mods, I just don't have the desire to have to deal with getting everything fixed/working whenever Bethesda patches the game. So just Vanilla and Vanilla flip merges.

This is in Starfield. The Game itself is somewhat 'Hollow' but I really enjoy the ship building.

Thanks, just a design experiment. I'm messing around witht he elevated engines to see what shapes I can make while still using 'Vanilla' (no mods) and enabling the flip merge option.

In my haste I didn't notice I hadn;t put in an armory, so I have added one. It's on the top level, starboard side so you have armory that connectes to engineering that connects to captains quarters and bride access.

I found (on PC) I was able to get used to it and things work pretty much as I want. It's only wonky when you need to try to glitch, but generally I don't do that.

Appreciate the kind words. I really like the idea of the slope cap, so try to use it. I just wish it could be painted and that they would allow a flip as well, so it could be mounted ventrally not just dorsally.

I agree, there ARE mods for that and Bethesda will be working on improving the design. Just don't hold yer breath. ;) S

@@sdefiel3719 - I've been avoiding mods this time around. Do all my builds in 'Vanilla' so any player who liked it could build the same without needing to learn how to glitch, or find and install the right mod.
