This was something I did a couple years ago for my World Literature class in highschool. In this case we did projects involving various points about Hamlet. Me being a Disney fan, I decided to bring up the age old discussion of comparing the Lion King to the play. Everything on here is the same as when I presented it in 2011, with the exception of the last two slides.

For some reason, when I uploaded I Will Follow, it cut off at the 3 minute mark. So now, I decided to re upload it. This is an unused song in the 1999 film Tarzan. This song is already in the movie, but it's just an alternate version of "You'll Be in My Heart". This was not ripped from the DVD but rather it was recorded from the radio, once again by my loving dad. However on the DVD, it is labeled as "Lullaby". As you can tell the lyrics are also in the pop version of the song that plays over the credits.

This track is yet another work in progress version of one of the songs in Tarzan, "Trashin' the Camp." All it is this time is just Phil Collins yet again showing off his mad drumming skills on garage items and his drumset. Ripped by my dad from the DVD. You know the way this song is played out, it seems kinda like Phil was audtitioning for S.T.O.M.P.

This track, like the other two before it, is a demo track from Tarzan, also ripped by my dad from the 2-disc DVD. However, it was not meant to be used in the final film as it was used for a production reel showcasing how the look of the film would be like. To any Genesis or Phil Collins fans out there who think that this song has traces of "Colors" from the "But Seriously..." album or "Lorenzo"...

This song is essentially a work in progress version of Son of Man, from the 1999 film Tarzan. The instrumentals sound like they belong in a Donkey Kong Country game, not that there's anything wrong with that, being a huge fan of DKC soundtracks.
Phil loved Korg synthesizers and used the 01/W alot in the 90's. DKC had a Wavestation in it.

Yes, this is a one of demos Phil Collins made for Tarzan. As you know, this demo is called Son Of Man/Celebration. This has no specific lyrics, like another demo 6/8 Intro. Trashin' The Camp was called Rhythm Peace and Strangers Like Me was originally called I Will Follow. There was also a piano demo of You'll Be In My Heart. All these are found on the 2 Disc Collector's Edition DVD and Special Edition Blu-Ray.

They are a little similiar, but The Lion King is more similiar to Kimba. Much more similiar! And in some scenes... EXACTLY the same! So Lion King isn't just inspired by Hamlet. It's a rip-off.
