Compressed Air Supercharging

Jeff Smith provides an overview of the Compressed Air Supercharging system. Complete info at our website casupercharging.com/
How are you regulating the proper fuel so engine does not go lean with that much air? Would you have to add an injector system that adds the extra fuel like in a NOs system?
I wonder how many tanks of air it would take to do a 5 mile run at Bonneville
I actually thought of this a long time ago, wondering if it could work. I have a lot of questions. The tech didn't exist then. My question is about the weight of the bottles. I am very curious about this.
How quickly can you refill a tank and what equipment do you need to do that?
I, personally think this is a waste of time. Nitrous does essentially the same thing. NOS produces oxygen under compression and heat the fuel is to make up for the lean situation. You can run a dry NOS system and your fuel nozzles will add more fuel to a point for around 50 horse shot. NOS is cleaner install. Only down fall I see is you have to buy nitrous. Again my opinion.
Still nonexistent
The high pitched noise in the background has made this a video to avoid.
What about compressed oxygen?
Who's the maniac that thought it would be a good idea to drown out what is being said with music? Brutal.
8/71
SO YOU SAY IT'S ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS 👍🤪 CRAZY POWER
Brilliant 👍😊I want that for my truck
This is so good. They’ll make it illegal! If they already haven’t! At least illegal on the road!!
I wonder if this ever took off.
Wow very cool I'll be looking for more info on this 😅
Dang! What he says @ 4:15
I love the idea. I just wouldn't want to wreck into wall at 150 mph while sitting on 2 x 3300 psi bombs
Why not use oxygen (pure)
boom!
Thank you!!!!!!!! Have been looking for info about pre charging my turbo with saved blow off. Ima do it.
What if you had something like direct fuel injection and instead of using atmospheric oxygen you direct inject compressed oxygen with the fuel? Not that i believe it would be a good thing, just a thought experiment. Great video btw. I love it when regular people have passion.
Stick to the books both you cause have no idea how a turbo kit works cause you get a lot of pressure my good sir
High flow sensor talks with binary_data
why air? ozone...
Its cool and all and sure its not really surprising but realistically its basically nitrous and turbos make more sense
I've got goosebumps watching this video. Badass technology. 😊
I've wondered if this was a good way to boost an engine myself.
Very intersting. Nice work
So how much ??????? Does all this cost total system.
Check valve after air-cleaner or closed circuit?
It's pre-cooled NO it's self cooled air too! Coolest boost with zero after cooling hardware needed, did u say?
Simplest design goes the longest.
Just get rid of the engine and go full compressed air . You'll save weight
GM experimented with this in the late 1960's along the same time as the electrovan - they had an onboard compressor and did not use near as high pressures, however they saw reduced intake temps and obviously increased air flow.
My idea is being used at last, we don't need the high frequency wine on the audio, almost unwatchable
I found myself howling at certain points. I didn't know what was going on. Whoo, whah, wooooo!
Have you thought of using a roots blower hooked to a plenum driven by a V8 engine, portable , cheap & fast ? When did you file your patents ? You should collaborate with Haltech . They make ECU s that are very robust. To sell it you need to get it included in ProMod racing. WHY ARENT YOU USING EFI CARBURETORS ? What about a roots type blower run by a 4 cylinder driveshaft ?
Didn't Don Garlits do something similar?
2024 PRI had a compressed air bottle car ….
Amazing tech but yo7 only get one run compared a normal supercharger or other type of mechanical delivery system
This is nothing new. I was at Calder drags when an XD Ford Shotgun. set the Pro Stock record at 8.89 with a 351 and this system. I wondered ever since why it did not catch on.
Nobody gets the Aussie references
Anyone want to buy some bottled........air?
Friggin Dale. Coolest guy around!
Can you get any stupider, you guys waisted all that time. The ignorance is thick lol
What happens if you raise the percent of oxygen in the "air". Or pure oxygen, for that matter....
Why not use in with fuel injection in stead of a carburator ?
Assuming this engineer is educated and has the employment experience he claims, I'd conclude he isn't mistaken but knowingly lying. Statements made about others systems they are competing with are a bit misleading.
Interesting, definitely definitely painting with some broad stroks at some points there, but Interesting..
The background music is terribly distracting
All talk, all know but no go! Set it loose!
it seems a good idea for drag racing.
