Damnn they are both cripsy. I do like the new one better tho i think. (:
Damnn they are both cripsy. I do like the new one better tho i think. (:
What I really liked about both of these decks is that the creators didn't go for *IN YO FACE* design, and chose a pretty but subdued one instead. Still very nice-looking though. :D
Love the colours of the newer deck!
They're pretty nice, right?! 😍
With green being one of my favorite colors. I'd have to say the newer one! Lol
That sounds like a biased answer, but a great one 😂💚
great vids bud
Appreciate it, thanks for watching! 😊
New subscriber here. Stumbled across this channel loved the content so I’m going to be staying
Welcome to the jungle! Err, my channel... Glad to have you (^_^)
I bought 5 and got all common decks...
On one hand, it's 5 new decks! On the other... well, yeah =[
I think I prefer the original colors but they are both such nice decks 😊
They've got good vibes all around 😍
These decks look really cool! Although I would stick with the deep blue red and peach colour it gives a popping colour combination in the fan! Also I would love to enter the giveaway!
I do like that "pop" it has 😍
I love both designs very much, but I feel that the newer one really fits with the theme of your setup! It might just be the green playmat but I also have a liking for the colour combinations. Best of luck everyone! 😁
Ah, maybe I unknowingly influenced it! I should've went with a better background, because I like the original color scheme better myself 😂
@@gbabbits Never too late to change! 🤪
Couldn’t agree w/ you more on their stock. Really feels like something special every time. Big fan!! 😁👍
That's the good stuff! 😍
got 12 decks, aimed for the 69 atlantic but didnt get it.. altough got 3 ultimate decks and the gold dkng so cant complain :)
3 Ultimates and the Gold DKNG, that's pretty nice to me! Were any of the Ultimate decks the special "gilded" one? I think, based on Art of Play's video, the gilded one has a gold seal instead of the silver one? Even if not gilded though, still a nice deck (^_^)
@@gbabbits i bought 8 mystery decks and got the glided ultimate deck, it is the most beautiful deck of cards ive ever seen, just insane
Very very nice , love the original ❤
The original's nice and bold 😍
Hoping to be that LUCKY one!
Best of luck 🍀
Got my 12 decks on the way! Also I love the content and atmosphere you create in your videos and I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers, wishing you the best!
Thank you so much, you're very kind! And good luck with your own mystery decks, hopefully you get some good ones!
Damn, thats a cool deck right there, the orange one
It's more red than orange... does that change your opinion? 😋
Gonna look good in my collection😮💨
It looks great in mine, so I'm sure it'll look good in yours too 😍
It's hard to choose but i love both of them yet, the old one catches me eye more.
The original's nice and bold, definitely an eye catcher 😍
i like the new colorway, nice video!
It's a good one, for sure! 😍
The new one looks really nice
It's quite nice, I have to agree 😍
11 unqiue decks out of 25 hurts my soul. The Ultimate deck and Curious wonders will always be favourites. Great video Geoff :)
Thanks! I feel the hurt too 😅, but hey, it's still a lot of new decks to play with (^_^)
I like the new colors.
It's quite a nice deck 😍
Really like the new colourway. They go really well together.
They picked a good vibe, that's for sure!
those look awesome, but i prefer the newer ones!
The new ones are pretty nice 😍
I prefer the newer deck a lot more to be honest, i feel like it pops out a lot more nicely! Btw good luck on the giveaway everyone!
Sounds like Art of Play knew what they were doing 🙌😍
Amazing decks! 😮 Would you be interested in a trade for one of those Frank LLoyd Wright decks??? Looking to hook up a bro who's halfway through architecture school who would kill for the style in that deck!
Thanks! I'm not sure yet, only having the 2 I would normally blow through them fairly quickly 😅. If you have Instagram, DM me @gbabbits and we can talk (if no IG, try the contact form on my blog babbitsgrimoire.com/contact and we can email).
Great video, just subbed!! Cant wait to get my very first mystery deck!
Thanks for the sub, welcome to the party! And good luck on your first mystery deck (^_^)
Aaand that's why I don't buy mystery decks or gamble! :D All the doubles aside, this was a pretty nice collection - I especially liked Midway Gardens, since occasionally less *is* more. ...said the guy who's recently bought a pack of cheaper than dirt paper cards in a tobacco shop. :D
Is it bad that my first thought this morning was "maybe I should buy another mystery deck or two, maybe they ran out of Lucky Draw decks!" 🤣
@@gbabbits Ah, I see: you're trying to corner the market on Lucky Draws, right? "They used to be everywhere, but then Geoff came and *bought them all* and now they're rarer than hen's teeth and cost twice as much". :D
Well now you're just twisting my arm to *try* to get more Lucky Draws 😂🎲
Very jealous!!
I've opened a few more of the decks already too and wow are they nice 😍
I love the design on all of them. I'm just starting at understanding cardistry so I haven't got a lot of em yet, but damn I love those decks you got
The quality of cardstock that Art of Play uses is great for cardistry, though some are a bit too fancy for me to be comfortable dropping all over the place (but that's just me =P). Good luck learning!!!
Holy smokes, look at all of those mystery decks 😍!!! So what do you think... was I lucky in my pulls? 😂🍀
yes and no at the same time XD
Is there a live performance anywhere, with the no gaff method? After viewing the Ellusionist demo, I can see that I would be left with a DB in the middle of the deck (a big con for me)
Not that I'm aware of; the video that comes with the trick has a performance of it, but it's not live (but it looks good nonetheless).
What should i do if my card does not spin at all
This move took me a few weeks to actually get working, and until then, either nothing happened, I dropped cards, or only a couple moved. "Practice, practice, practice" is the key -- but if nothing is happening, it's most likely the position and pressure of your finger that's under the deck. I've also found that slightly tilting the deck (the end that's toward you goes up, the end that has your finger underneath is down), it helps when learning the move... but you'll be more likely to drop cards, so practice over a bed or somewhere soft.
Hey man, cool review. I'm actually the designer behind the deck (Kowaleski and co) that was commissioned by AOP. The design on the jokers as well as the left and right sides of the top half of the tuck is a side view of the "sprites" that stood on either side of the fountain in front of the hotel. You can sort of see how they have faces and arms, but it is not a typical "sprite" statue. They are VERY modern, as is all of FLW's design work. The court card were also based off this design and share some of the same facial features but just from a front on view rather than the side. The weapons/staffs/flowers held by the court cards, as well as facial hair, actually matches up to a traditional decks court cards. They just have an architectural/modern spin to make them match the rest of the design. They are all completely different from on another and feature the shape of their pip hidden all throughout their design. Thanks for the review! I hope you enjoy the deck.
Hi! This is awesome information, thank you so much for the background info and design inspiration, it's so great to know that!
Thank you for this review. I saw these online. I have one I'm assuming is a phony, but I like it. This ia also very nice.
That’s a nice little tutorial card you got there! Was that included in the deck?
Nope, just the cards are in the box (^_^)
weird, i got two add cards with my pack i picked up today. nice overview.
I dont like carrying jokers nor having writings on the back so I like the variation 1441 of the undue principle in the book. My favorite variation is Hard Target by Darwin Ortiz, the 2 chosen cards ends up sandwiched between 2 jacks. if you can faro, it can be setup right in front of the spectators.
Thanks although you left me divided on if to get this book. I'm also keeping an eye out for his earlier Bound to Please compilation. Like you I'm not a fan of counting and spelling tricks at least when they are big numbers and long words. I've already got the Mnemonica book (need to devote time to reading it properly) and like the Bart Harding stack although it causes me to pause for a dramatic hard thinking moment while I do the maths to determine where the card might be in the stack. I feel exposed starting with an ordered deck so need to improve my false shuffles.
I have Bound to Please and I would 100% recommend it over Try the Impossible, especially if you don't want to go deep into the Aronson Stack. There are still some counting + spelling tricks, but there's way more available in the compilation, and it spans several years so you get refinement added along the way (^_^) For memdeck work, if you're up for a challenge (and it's not a difficult one but will take a little bit of time) you may be interested in "The Memory Arts" by Sarah + David Trustman. I was stuck debating which stack to learn, which would be best, etc -- but when I started using the technique in The Memory Arts, I *easily* memorized both Aronson + Mnemonica. I also started learning the Redford Stack (re: "Sleightly Out of Order" by Patrick Redford), but I have work to do there still =P
Nice m8. Thanks.
👍♠️
The False Anchors ⚓ Royals are soo nice ,I've got 5 Sealed in my collection.Could you do a video with the False Anchors Midnights Deck please⚫⚓
I love all of the False Anchors decks, but I don't have one of the Midnights yet! As soon as I get one in, I'll put something up (^_^)
Great review of this excellent False Anchors deck.Could you do a review of Ryan's latest Deck please ...The False Anchors Midnights deck. That would be really great if you could .Thanks.
Thanks 🙏! I haven't picked up one of the Midnights yet, but if I do get one, I'll make sure to break 'em open and show them off ☺️
Ok that would be great👍 @@gbabbits
At least the 4 of diamonds is taken from a real painting. It is the work of the austrian artist Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918) and called "Der Kuss" (The Kiss).
very helpful with different camera angles for grip
Price?
It's currently $25 on Art of Play's website ☺️
How much was all of this?
~$300 or so, if I remember correctly 😅
Dayum son. These hands are quicker than my eyes for sure. What is the name of that move?
Thanks 🙌! I was doing it (for fun and by accident 😅) for a year or two before someone told me it's a Venus Trap variation by Orbit / Dan & Dave 🔥
@@gbabbits hehe yeah i figured it out eventually. I'm pretty sure it has a different name but I couldnt find it
are these uspcc?
I actually believe that this deck is EPCC
