First Flight since my failed launch at mount emu , New sail and Basebar and a few Uprights later !
Wow
Cerna Hora????
No lift riding here 😅
If God had wanted us to ski like that he would never had invented ski lifts. 🤣🤣
nice seeing your vids again gotta wrk on those landings cheers
I was more concerned about the GA plane lined up at the end of the strip, landed cross tail
Awesome stuff Pat....
Thanks for the vid Pat! Buffalo launch scares me… even on video! Great to see you on top of the stack once again!!!

Publishing it in slow motion is one way to mitigate the appearance of pound down.
Nice flight. Strong lift and turbulence at times from the look of it. What time of year?
Late December 2021
giddey- up :)
That's what helmets are for.😀

after starting the left 360 you probably could have continued the left circle and land into the wind but changed your mind and reversed the turn right to a downwinder. I try to setup my approaches the same way if possible so each one is similar with slight adjustments as needed. I only use 'S' turns if it's blowing like stink otherwise it's all geometry in a continuous turn to manage energy state. Seemed very strong at launch, where is the primary LZ? Glad it was all sand at the end..
I flew straight past the perfect opportunity to land , topless gliders don't turn tight ! Always land early , just stupidity , wind dropped off and was crossed , better tail on sand than ocean or slippery reef was my thinking , walked away unhurt
@@ThePatMach like they say, we've all been there. Once I have a plan I try not to deviate (too much, no turn reversals in other words) from it. showing up high enough to have time to formulate a plan doesn't hurt. I prefer the continuous turning approach (with adjustments) to an aim point on a short final. If it were easy, right?!
@@ThePatMach topless gliders? NO gliders turn tight when you cross-control.
@@darrellhambley7245 the glider went exactly where I wanted it to , the cross control was to see where I wanted to impact, dragged the right wing as much as possible to slow . If I'd finished the turn into wind I'd end up in the drink ! If I'd landed into wind on the reef I could have snapped my ankle , all bad choices, considering I just flew past the perfect landing opportunity into wind trying to scratch up .
@@ThePatMach did your right wingtip touch the ground? which spot was the perfect landing opportunity you mentioned. they all look bad, may turning right into the valley and back into the wind for that sand patch.
Downwind landing was an excellent option. Rocks hurt!
Thanks for sharing and respect for your courage of posting. It will help others to learn something
Low speed ?
Crossed wind , thermal on left side
@@ThePatMach ok
oO
Ouch…. apart from the A-frame, is everything else ok? Are you ok?
An old video , walked away , just a few parts haha
@@ThePatMach I thought I recognized this from some time ago but it never hurts to re-post as a terrifying reminder of doom that awaits the unwary pilot. :-D
@@GlideLA if you notice I fly past a perfect landing option to do the worst setup for a topless glider , my fear was it would be easy to break a leg on slippery reef or end up in the surf .....momentary lapse of reason is all I can say !
@@ThePatMach I make many mental errors then try to catch and reverse each in time. Some slip though.
Nice !
Thanks!
Sweet!
I’d find a new hobby! ⛳️🏌️
Nice landing, well done
Nice one Pat. I’m interested in what conditions you use Tawonga Gap in. Is it just a valley wind that you launch into, or is it an overall prevailing wind direction you wait for? Cheers!
Most Mornings in lighter winds
Fully in the zone :)
Nah its just winter, mellow and cruising !
Approach 78kmph over Dam wall
Approach over Dam wall at 55kmph
Nothing wrong with that at all! Great job!
Thanks 👍
It always seems so damn fast on go pro until you touch down, then you realise it couldn't have been as fast as it looked
I just checked my GPS and i was doing 78kmph (50mph)as i crossed the dam wall.

Awesome!! Approached like a airplane 🤩 Very nice broo
Thanks ✌️
He should quit till he still can...
Lesson learned: always look for a possible landing site.
Yes i flew straight past the beach landing , scratching way after i should have conceded defeat....
That was great! At least you didn't land on that cement barrier. LOL
Shish…. You totally missed the runway!……. HaHa
What a scratch to get up! Well done,
Muito bom, bons vôos brow.
Perfect.... making it look easy.
Cheers Dave , hopefully in tune for spring !
Nice landing Pat
Good Landing sir
Good to see you are getting some flying in Pat!
Lovely area to fly in ~ I used to fly trikes out of Porpunkah.
how much is it to replace the parts?
About $1k aud
Great ride. Bumpy start. A bit tough for me.
Guess I won't be loaning out my wing to this guy.
Мощно! Жалко карбон!
Красивое место старта!
0:28 feeling around to make sure he's alive.
Yes. Not hurt in any of the wreck less behaviour
Landing downwind?
Pretty much Nil wind and a sailplane ready for a winch launch, nothing like a little pressure at the airfield
A whole airfield and you go steeple jumping? Dumb!..you were very lucky that you did not become a statistic!
Nice to see you actually post stuff
I hope those were not all the same pilot..... if so it may be time to find a new hobby.
