witchspace is basically the warp from Warhammer 40k, voices and structures have been seen/heard when traveling through it. regardless, if your ftl requires you to jump through another dimension to achieve your desired results, there are gonna be some inherent eldritch risks

Yeah... it did seem to successfully load in the system... but it ran into an edge case scenario and did not manage to get you out of "witchspace" (i dont know what the official term is. I am just making a presumption). This may have been because it was trying to save you from a mach trillion collision. Or maybe it was because of a bug frontier didn't manage to catch. This is all speculation on my part though. Take it with a tablespoon of salt.

There's a reason the old-timers call it "witch space."

Elite 84 player hhere, been playing ED since the Alpha, I have NEVER seen this bug! Surprising. The newer hyperspace visuals are a lot better, haven't seen the old one in a while, was nice to revisit. Now we know what Starship one seen before it all got........weird..... or maybe you just passed by Raxxla..

Had this happen to me several times. It's a glitch. Turns out if the console or PC has trouble loading the new area, it'll keep you in FTL as a sort of loading screen.

Hmmm, interesting. The one thing I notice is at :46 everything on screen prior and after is in motion but there is 1 constant in the center that appears to grow bigger and bigger, I’d like to see a few more minutes of this

i once had a bug where jump drive was preping to jump infinetly and my ship started to overheat and just before being deroyed i ctrl alt del out of the game and it was fine when i returned

this travel screen is a loading screen and your game stuck on loading ,reload game and it should be fixed
