That's something I admire about female athletes, you spend years training to get at tye best levels, and on the one last day, you might lose it because your uterus feels like getting a haircut. And of course it's not the case for all competitors, so you really might be at a disadvantage because of something that's out of your control. I'd lile to hear more about how female athletes handle periods during competitions. I have no idea how they deal with it.

I just got my period and it made me wonder if periods even affected olympians? Do they even get them? Are they light because they are able to work through the pain?

Every time I think it’s a bit rough that male bodies go from high testicular cancer risk to high bowel cancer risk with like a 5 year cross over point, I remember that female bodies kick the shit out of themselves once a month, and only stop doing so because it wants to crap out a human.
