Is Christmas Losing It's Magic?
In this episode, we’re diving into the chaos and magic of Christmas as parents. Is it too early to start decking the halls, or should we embrace the festive vibes now? We chat about setting realistic budgets (because Christmas gets expensive), share our favorite holiday films, and swap stories about what makes the season special - and sometimes stressful - as parents.
We also tackle a big parenting question: should you push your anxious child to try clubs or activities they’re hesitant about? From sports to creative hobbies, we explore the fine line between encouragement and pressure, and share practical tips for supporting kids without overwhelming them.
Whether you’re all about Christmas in November or holding off until December, there’s plenty to relate to here. Hit play, and let us know your thoughts on the festive season and parenting challenges in the comments!

It’s so ridiculous.
❤❤❤
Party presents… what is your opinion on re-gifted presents that are WELL used?? To the point it’s got dirt & grime and hair all wrapped round it? I am also the party goer who loves it! I become the party entertainer 😂
We say, "You need to have a poo on the toilet because Santa 🎅 is watching 😮"
Does that work anytime of the year? 😅
Now you've got to go and buy the whole Gruffalo Cinematic Universe...
Bit late to your podcast and therefore the comment 😅 but we took our 10 and 9 year old (both autistic) abroad for first time this year to Ibiza (Seaview Holiday Village) all inclusive. So you may imagine how nervous we were and worried about the level of fussiness that we deal with 🙈 Went there a few times child free over 10 years ago and the choice of food is now so vast. They have a kids section with coloured divider plates, self service for the kids. My youngest who has a really difficult diet and habits really responded well to this. Paid extra for a swim up room because my kids (and husband) 😅 don’t like being round lots of noise and people in general 🙈 Lots to do in hotel and locally also. Beach right next door with water sports. Water park also next door inclusive. Plus it was a quick 2.5hr flight. Hope that helps!
xD
LOL THE NOTE IS FUNNY AS HELL
5 kids 4 boys 1 girl hard work but it’s worth it never a dull moment bring them up properly and they will be there to look after you when you’re older don’t get me wrong. It is hard at times but more good than bad. You just get on with it.
They often dont😂
Spot on
Coz we have our heads straight
Money? 😂
This is why parents of old had struct discipline over their children to keep them in line and the wife would be at home caring for children shopping cooking meals cleaning the home etc. Everything now is out of balance and everyone feels it.
Lmfaoooo just say you're a misogynist bro
brain rot has sadly ruined you @@cawse3429
@@cawse3429 look at you, what a joke.
Accurate
well we are 7, 4 dogs, and approximatively 10 cats with that you can only survive not live
Where do u live?
Love listening to this podcast, great insight on parent life as a recent dad myself 😅
Thank you mate
Your channel is so refreshing! I came away from social media due to the guilt I felt based on others opinions… As long as my child is fed, watered, loved and has fun that’s what’s most important. The internet & social media is so dangerous. Thank you for keeping it real and down to earth 😊
Thank you. x
I swear everyone who has kids absolutely hates them
So, ya'll do notice and feel *something* about it? Interesting...
And if she did none of it, no one would even notice.. so does it matter??
That's just adhd haha trust I feel this daily and I don't even have visitors
Honestly, when the grandparents come round it’s a whole operation 😂
frfr
Oh the dinner 😂
I agree totally... my 14 year old doesnt have TikTok, FB or Instagram or any other SM and that wont change any time soon. She DID have TikTok becuase we enjoyed watching cake decorating, cookie decarating and stuff and I looked at her TikTok once and saw the comments she was making and banned it completely. I realised she wasnt old enough to he trusted with it.
I saw a video of a man, who clearly worked in construction, with a big fucking wad of money in his hand. It was 1 weeks pay, and he said " my teacher told me that I would amount to nothing because I wasn't interested in maths and science. Now look. I earn in a week what it takes you 2 months to earn.BITCH". My old man is a crane driver. And when he goes to work it's in old battered clothes. And I've seen people in suits look down at him. They have no idea how much he earns. There is much more that maths and English
I had to sub for this. Well done, Sir. Well done.
Ok im gonna sound rlly petty but when people say this i always say “well i know how hard youve worked just to be able to say excuse the mess so imma let it slide”
sounds like my Gran
It's so hard to manage this as a parent. There's a local group pushing for childhoods without social media and I really hope it takes off.

This is why I homeschooled my son! Who's ever done algebra in real life?
Many many many people use algebra , mathematics is useful
They shouldn’t be allowed till 16. My daughter playing a game on phone for kids and even the advert was swearing. Never been so angry, can’t protect my child from this
I have hated fathers day for years, it's just another day that mum's decide what they're doing and wearing and pretend on social media that it's for him
Wait so I have to get the kids up washed dressed, fed sent to school pick up from school feed them again then do house work to get a quick rub!!! That’s a lot of hassle just for someone else to do it 😅😅
You expect a reward for being an adult and cleaning your OWN home?
For real like💀💀
21.4 seconds 😭😭
Lol 😂
Kid expectations these days. 😅
Lunchbox 👌
Awww poor Daisy. Heart breaking when stuff like that happens, kids can be cruel
In stitches. Going through the same to a T. Thank you for these making a huge difference to how I view life
That’s so cool. Glad you enjoyed!
Enjoyed this video! Looking forward to next one
Thanks man 👌🏻
Wait till they get to their teens. You ain't seen nothing yet.
Terrible 2's probably terrible 4's now. Humans are aging differently now. 100 years ago 18 yo were almost middle aged. 4 yo 100 years ago where much more were busy doing labor and about the streets. Thank goodness for modern life when our children are allowed to simply be children.
It's what you're supposed to do, doh!
Yep lifes a bastard! Lol
