Naaaaaah this album was really underrated, due to there beef
It's acid rap not horror core
Bobby Bouche
Loose Change was the best Ja Rule diss, but isn't on this album.
Great review homey!
I appreciate it!
Not only did he not swing hard enough, the weak ass punch he threw didn't even land. By the time this album was released we were already growing tired of 50, and hadn't heard from Ja since Last Temptation... THE WORLD WAS READY FOR HIS COMBACK AND WANTED IT. Clap Back played every single day on the radio. Disc Jockys pushed the hell out of that record, but that didn't make it anything other than what it was: A weak, half ass diss filled with the lightest most indirect subliminals ever submitted to tape. They even made a public plea as to why this album was so watered down. Supposedly they couldn't say the things they wanted to because of the legal issues they were facing at the time. Truth is, they had no idea how to fight 50 at this point. Everything they'd tried in the past had failed horribly or played into his favor. Their first mistake was not dissing 50 cent before he signed to Shady. They could've ruined his credibility to the point that Eminem wouldn't want to deal with him. Instead, the genius that is Irv Gotti thought that it would be better not to mention him at all because he felt it would HELP his career by letting people know who he was... They totally LOST that one opportunity to crush him, and tried to deal with him after the fire had spread and become massive. Simply put: Irv Gotti is the biggest detriment to his label and the greatest thing that ever happened to 50 Cent's career.
Helluva comment 🫡
Originally this was a Mixtape but Ja Rule had a contact with Def Jam to release six albums this Mixtape became an album release around November 2003.
Noreaga produced it.
Bad ass! I been getting into Nore lately.
This was a dope EP at that time I had everything from 50 and G Unit I was in prison at the time so I was paying 25 bucks I even had Tony yayo thoughts of a predicate felon lol but I needed a break so I ordered this and Exodus and to be honest Exodus made me remember that Ja made some really good music every Sunday I would put on Exodus and write letters, but this one was slept on this is a great break down of the album and the time of 50,G Unit, Eminem was a tidal wave then came this and then came 300 bars from the Game and ended GUnit overnight G Unit clothing became dated and thrown in the trash immediately
It wasn't an ep, and g unit was not finished overnight
Damn you cracking that cd open brings back so many memories fr.
How you never heard Takeover? Like, i could understand if you were one of those TH-camrs pretending to never have listened to hip hop. You just chose not to listen to Takeover in 2001?? 🤔🤔
banger album but lowkey funny album cover
got better with time you say?
I do think it did. After a couple decades for sure. Most can revisit it without bias and see this record was dope.
You disagree?
@@GangstaRapOdyssey yes, respectfully. By this time Murder Inc was falling to pieces behind the scenes and Jah was known for 2 things 1. For making cheezy hiphop/r and b 2. Getting his career ended by 50. No one, and I mean no one in nyc was checking for this album then and or now. 50 demolished Jah’s confidence, so even when he tried to make a “ back to his street roots “ Lp no one took it seriously. I actually heard the Lp before it came out. Milwaukee Buck ( Murda Inc engineer) is someone I have known for years and when they moved their studio to SOHo from Midtown I was there for unrelated biz and was played the music and as suspected it was dull, predictable & a lot of Murda Inc thought the same.
blood in my eyes dawg and i can’t see 😂
This project was hot trash, but clap bac was a nice
🤣
Every single song was hard, not one skip. So how's it trash? Smh. Just say you love 50 😂
@youtubeaccount458 the skits were totally skips
@@youtubeaccount458 I was never a fan of ja like that. He had a run,but out of his whole catalog. To me this was his weakest body of work. The project wit wonderful on it was better to me. I only like clap bac and one other song 🤷🏾♂️. As a kid/teen I was listening to LL Method man Redman Jay Nas Dmx Fab Az. I wasn’t spending 13-18.99 for a ja rule cd 😂😂
@PettyKing-Cole-l1h it was technically his weakest body of work, because it was a mixtape, that was put together specifically to diss g unit, but def jam forced it into an album. However, it was not trash, at all. Every song could be bumped in the whip. It was a war cd, it wasn't made for the radio, it did exactly what it was supposed to do. And ok, you was spending 13-18.99 on fab and Jay, good for you. But millions and millions WAS buying Ja Rule cd's including myself. Ja never put out a bad project from 99-04.
This shet was cool but wasn’t bout shit fr 50 took his momentum still to this day he could never come back from it. Ja rule only good when he featured with another artist and only on love songs. When he actually raps the shet is mediocre at best!
Bruh you literally just said a whole lot of nonsense. Clearly you dont know Ja's catalog at all, and just going off his radio hits. Ja got plenty bangers by himself, and can definitely rap. And this was supposed to be a mixtape, but def jam forced Irv gotti to put it out as an album, which is why it didnt do numbers. A year later Ja got right back to making hits.
Still probably my favorite Rule album between this & R.U.L.E. definitely was marketed against & frankly the machine wasn’t letting 50/EM lose even tho to me Rule out classes them but without a doubt the Album is the best music in the beef & paired with knowing this same person made put it on me, always on time, rainy days is why I think he’s one of the greatest without question probably #1 in versatility
Over Venni Vetti Vecci!!!? Interesting
@@1stKindChris this was a even more seasoned version of Rule then you heard on VVV
I really enjoyed blood in my eye. Got in summer 2003 at the mall. It's a fire album.
Thanks for tha take back, I miss these days foreal. Definitely long time no see 😮 amazed. I used to buy source jus for Bone Thug Pictures fo ma wall of Bone 😂😂 Jus wondering if u know where I can get bone cds an the source mags that have the art of war bone covers Kia ora bud w'akaw'etai
For sure one of my favorite artists aside from $uicideboy$ and pouya when it comes to hip hop/rap
Master classic Scarface don't get his props because he's not handsome and he's not light skinned you know they always prejudice against the extra dark 🌑 skin rappers actors etc but he is the goat hands down it's not even close I love this song because this is the first and only collaboration what's the two pioneer gangster rap groups NWA and geto boys I am pissed at Scarface because he never came out with a part 2 that would include Scarface and Willie D teamed up with ice cube and Dr Dre and if you could be kind enough to bring MC ran out of the grave 🪦 and DOC. NOW PUT THE IDEA OUT THERE LET'S SEE WHO'S GOING TO CAPITALIZE ON THIS I WANT TO HEAR THIS IN 2025 Y'ALL CAN THANK ME LATER
That realy was the best of 97 even best of the 90s and was not too long. It was more then a Bone album it had calabs had a few solos this really was a master peice. Perfect vocals. A project no other artist can touch.
Ep and Lp are b wbetween similar nowadays
I’m excited for this journey for you. He has a mix of west coast with Memphis phonk. If you start Ramirez you’ll have dig into the whole G59 label, suicideboys are 🐐 you’ll fuck with them for sure, shakewell and germ are signed with G59. There’s a few others on the label that are dope too. Ramirez and suicideboys started G59. Pouya is a 🐐 as well you’ll love his stuff if you listen to him start with “get buck” and you’ll see how his music has evolved. He has his own label too called “all but 6” alot of people say they sound like bone thugs one of pouyas aliases is “baby bone” im looking forward to your reactions to these artists🥶
Got this cd in my car!!! Classic 😊
exactly like you read... son of serpentine and grey gorilla, those next my man. RAMIREZ I need that Tha Playa$ Manual on vinyl for my G59 vinyl wall art. g❤❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡.
That was my first Cd to jam in my first car 1974 Monte Carlo Khakis and corduroy house shoes 13 inch chrome Daytons swivel seats headed to school no license no insurance just bandannas.
Not a fan of Nas. But keep hustling. It’ll pay off.
Still Fireeeeeeee!!!!
Ramirez was born in 94 🔥
He’s in his prime!
2:05 not storm from the outkawz
I told you this album is hard as hell. Well made. Appreciate for taking my advice. My score 8 out of 10. I agree with all the tracks except Hunnids. Hunnids is my personal favorite track complements switching lanes very well Switching Lanes, Hunnids, Fo Five, and Out Da Way my personal faves. Overall this album is a few tracks away from legendary. But some of these tracks are timeless. I can listen to this record in 2060 Rocci - Is this producer. He did a few albums for other artist. Ramirez - The rapper. He has a great catalog of albums.
Dude, I'm all for it, good stuff! Honestly dude , not gonna lie , shit seems better to me then most stuff eminem put out since encore/re-up.
E Foh Oh
Word play on 💯 listen and learn class in session no Mumble rap just true facts the industry fears the real been listening to these scholars since 1994.
I love 40 Water. 💯
Hey could you react to Ramirez - Tha Playas Manual. I’m sure you’ll love it. It’s cross between G-Funk and Memphis rap.
Aight man I downloaded it and I’m gonna check it out.
@@GangstaRapOdyssey my personal favorite album of 2020
ESHAM is a real chef and went to school an shit for it! The dude loves to chef it up!
