Sounds like something for rocket league. Try to add more saw bass lines underneath the melody, then bring that saw bass in on the beat drop.

@hunterflowers9164 dude those are some fire suggestions. 🔥🔥🔥 I've already been working on it more and have already added supersaws as a chord layer and a simple saw as a melody layer. the hat rolls are a good one. I'll add those. And no, I did not use Serum. I challenged myself to use stock instruments so it's GMS, Flex, and 3xOsc. I use Vital, but not in this track. I could make a breakdown video to show what I did when I finish it.

@@maomallows Brother. It's a Trap beat in fundamental terms, then at that stage, subgenres don't really matter. Genres in music shouldn't even exist.

​@@_loss_ personally I think subgenres exist for the sole purpose of finding a similar niche. Maybe it be referencing or just enjoying a certain type of music. In Dubstep, Color Bass and Tearout are very different. For Hip hop, Boom Bap and NY Funk are very different. Appreciate the feedback tho. I'll keep it mind. :3

@@maomallows Ah I'm super super new to music production so I didn't know what they were called, I'm just looking around to learn as much as I can haha. Timestamps for what I was curious about is 0:45 !

@aoi2532 That's awesome. To answer your question, the vocal chops were made from my vocals. I chopped them up and added some effects like compression, reverb, as well as a volume shaper to give it a different tone compared to the vocals. Then I added auto-pan to pan the whole thing left to right but only mixed the panning effect at about 70% wet to have the most of the chops in mono. After the auto-pan, I added ping-pong delay on triplets to add a background rhythm and fill in space. So both the panning and delay added to the ethereal effect. :) If you pause the video at 0:48 you can see the effect chain.

Thank you so much. I chose FL Studio because it's the only DAW I ever used. I got so used to the workflow that I just couldn't leave it. Though I am interested in Ableton.

@@maomallows That's the reason I use Logic tbh. If you start on garageband the logical transition is to Logic. Might try to jump ship one day though, who knows haha

Hello. Are you asking about my hardware? Well, I don't have a powerfull PC at the moment. I'm working with an old Intel i5 with only 4 GB RAM and a NVidia GT 1030. I don't have any other studio gear other than a USB mic i bought online. And the only speakers I have is a pair of home entertainment speakers. But I'm already saving up to get a full desktop upgrade. So expect more videos to be uploaded in the future. :) I have a lot of stuff in the works.

Garageband is totally capable of making music. It all comes down to how dedicated you are to learning and mastering your DAW. It will take some time. But if you really wanna make music, it will take some time to learn.
