Awning for the condo deck. The awning needs to keep the whole deck from direct rain. So it has to go around one outside corner along the side of the building then make one inside corner turn and catch all the water from the open area on the side and the water that comes down that tile roof.

on this site , it have DC fuse or something to protect before inverter ?
There are No fuses in line for the dc solar string to the inverter in this design. The DC solar strings are self limiting so one string is about 7.5 amps if you combine two strings they max out to about 15 amps max. You can take a solar string and plug the positive and negative leads into each other like a dead short and power just runs in a loop ax max amps no problem. The inverter is very smart and if there is a leak to ground or arc fault it shuts off the inverter.
Also the string wire is sized so 30 amp wire for 7.5 amps full load and 40 amp wire for two combined string running 15 amps

Thanks for the awesome video. The DC breaker is tripping. Is it safe to disconnect the PV cable connector from the DC Disconnect box on a Sunny day?
Yes, if there is no load on the string there wont be an arc. If there is a normal one string load like 7 amps you should use rubber gloves and pull it apart fast so as not burn the connector.
Which company's lugs are these? I am very interested in mechanical lug connectors like these.

No shots of the results of the I-V curves. Seems like a fake promotional video
Yes I realized that after posting that and made a follow up video with results and explanations. Here is the link and I will make sure I put that in the discriptioin of the set up video. th-cam.com/video/6yXZvfoGsdc/w-d-xo.html
I realized people want to see the test results so I added a link in the description with the test results. Here it is again. Thanks for watching. th-cam.com/video/6yXZvfoGsdc/w-d-xo.html
ummm it doesnt seem like X to me. where are the orange brake?
Thai model X is different from X power in UK. The Model X Thailand is only 200 horsepower with 61KW battery and the fully loaded trim package. The other available model in Thailand is Model D with smaller HP, battery and lower trim package. So this one has normal brakes. The X power in UK would need upgraded brakes with double the horse power.
Gloves please, safety first.

I swear every vid I see for utility shows me there is no good wire management in place across the entire country. I understand its a huge job, but aesthetics and pride still apply
Agreed specially with these Huawei string inverters that need to plug into the many connectors in the bottom of the inverter. I like some of our other sites with out the wire baskets going down the rows that have underground conduits one for each row. With these open trays they should have sun and dust covers over the top of them.
@Paul Werner I've been trying to get into Utility scale for about a month now. It's difficult because I have over a decade of electrical experience 7 of those years in Resi/small scale commercial. But because this is somewhat of a different beast unless you are close to a new build to get your foot in the door there is almost no way to get a spot usually without atleast a year on a Farm/Plant. Heck I can't seem to find creditials that will allow you to sit without working for a company already. Like TMEIC and whatnot. Such is life, someday soon I'll get in there and show some people what pride in your work looks like lol.
ehhhh i'm sure there's absolutely no chance that a 1200v DC arc could have melted through that entire bundle of spaghetti cable - you worry too much.
I predict home owners experiencing structural problems and maybe flooding in the years ahead. ...Nice development though!
I agree it seems risky to me.
Great explanation 👌
The component you're referring to under fan is called an encoder. The fault you encountered is a motor lock out.

Hello everything is fine! With PVA-1500V4 Photovoltaic Analyzer Kit, I can perform string IR curve test with bifacial solar panel.
I have tested some bifacial modules with the PVA-1500. The module I was testing was listed in the solemetric data base. So I just had to select that right module and they testing worked as it normally does. Just test under normal conditions.
Its a really nice area and house! I can't wait to visit!
Excellent

Nice Setup ...👍🏻
The DC cables should goes burried in conduits
Add some anti-seize to that stainless set screw. Better carry some extras if you stay with stainless.
Bad connector, replace MC4 on input side
Hauwei Gave us an RMA for internal fault. We replace MC4 connectors on the home run strings but those panel mount connectors built in to the inverters would be very hard to replace. Power boards block access to the back of those.
At the large hospital that I retired from we had an on going battle over checking wires for proper torque.. Boss insisted that we do it on hot 480 volt equipment. Nope . Cheap SOB'S never purchased any torque wrenches. It was almost impossible to have BSO give us permission to turn anything off to safety check on non energised equipment. One of the senior electrician showed them where NAFA book that states once a wire is properly torqued you should not keep checking torque. Probably damages the wire. I went by the IR gun temperatures & hot spots under load. Found several loose connections on a new 250 HP Fire pump. 50 plus years ago every time we wired in a new piece of equipment we went over every connection. Stuff that came across the ocean by a long ship ride were the worst. Now a days everybody is in a hurry. Ahole boss wanted us to remove pecker heads on every 480 volt motor while it was running while performing once to 4 times a year PM'S. Nope not today, not tomorrow not ever ! Was told at an IAEI class that all torque wrenches & drivers should be sent out every year to check calibration. Same class the instructor asked how many of the approximately 125 people in the room owned a torque wrench. Maybe 5 people. . .
That b phase I see burnt needs to be cut back and re stripped to get to clean copper to have the correct tourqe value, the copper in the breaker has been weakened by being overheated and will eventually fail due to metal fatigue
Even working a house panel to add or change breaker always good to check tightness on all breakers !
Loved the very clear video, great explanations and great filming too. Kudos to you both. I was looking for the max skew these drivelines can work at, and this was very useful.
What model and manufacturer panels are those? This is a really neat system.

Hi, Can you help me to configure Mars soiling sensor with SCADA?
Hi friend, Thank you for sharing valuable knowledge with us. It was literally useful. Could you please direct me about difination new panel in Solmetric library, as you know, panel datasheet have not some information such as: Temp. Coeff of nominal current, Temp. Coeff of Vmp, Temp. Coeff of Imp, Vmp at 200w/m2 Imp at 200w/m2 And Identity factor(Aref) Thank you in advance for your support
i watched 15 minutes for you to not show any results, and not show the results of the cleaning test, and not show the results of the solar tester device.
David, that is a good point, my goal was just how to set it up but I will plan a follow up video showing the testing and the report results.
Here are the Test Results and more th-cam.com/video/6yXZvfoGsdc/w-d-xo.html
This is literally right above my house how cool 🤘
Are those Y connectors a common failure point? I always had a concern of their ampacity ratings and conditions of use. Thanks for sharing. Keep rocking.
Why you didn't connect T2.? If T2 didn't connect how to get average temp in final report...
I always use t1 only so just one back of module temperature probe. Basically I’m comparing two tests that happen with in ten minutes or something like that of each other so it’s the delta between dirty and clean modules. I want to compare more than to make a super accurate quantitative value. So if the temps and irradiance are constant and similar that’s what I need.
Hello from northern Colorado
Jordan, This site has ATI trackers where they have one motor and a drive shaft that goes from row to row. I think they are awesome compared to Next Trackers. I am not familiar with Gamechanger trackers. These really maximize production. I have scene in mid year like march to Nov. where the inverters can get up to full power with in one and a half hour after sun rise. So in summer days many hours of full production. Full power for our Huawei SUN KTL 45's is 50kw AC output. Running at 100% max power all day long.
Hey Paul, does that site have trackers on it? What is the manufacturer of the tracker, Gamechange? How is GameChange? We are looking at putting in Genius by Gamechange
Great Video Paul, thanks!
Paul, another great detailed video. How have the CAB cable systems worked out for you? We have similar concerns with ours being installed now, low to the ground and the vegetation concerns
Well so far we have had them weed whack and spray a 4 or 6 foot wide path underneath those CAB trays. I found a bird nest in one but they are only about a year old now.
Paul, Great video! very helpful in understanding this system. we are currently building 2 sites, 40AC and 75AC with this system on it. Please keep these videos coming, a great education for us who will be learning shortly. thanks you! Jordan

Thank you for the video. How many modules per string would you use when you have two strings of 19 harnessed?
Two strings of 19 harnessed is where we have a Y connection on the array for two strings of 19 using normal 10 gauge solar wire combined in a parallel connection into one 8 gauge larger home run. So the 8 gauge home runs have 38 modules. The voltage stays the same but the amps double when you parallel strings. So an example could be voyages VOC around 1250 VDC with amps for one string at 7A and a parallel home run will have same 1260 VDC but amps at 14 A
This was cool. I didn't know there was so much unused space close by
Really nice!
Hey Paul, I am an aspiring aerial photographer like you who is looking for collaboration opportunities. I have my own channel Malek Yehya Media but I am struggling to get it off of the ground. I see that you are a very talented photographer and have an artists eye. Thus I was wondering if you would like to collaborate on a video edit for the benefit of both of us.
