    Thank you for this. Was looking to see if I could recognize any of the old instructors. At 6:58 is my Sensei Dr. Mitsuo Adachi shaking hands with O Sensei.

      I knew dr adachi. He was a really nice man and his waza was great stil I his 80’s. I actually “found “ his pictures he took of O Sensei’s visit to Hawaii island back in 1961. He took some amazing pictures of the seminars and local pictures. Very nice man.

    Aikido doesn't work against anyone who knows how to grapple.

    • @alexandrealves2877

      Aikido is 70% strike. You need to consider this fact when you make your rules for grappling tournaments. Grappling never worked against swords. Aikido is about swords.

    • @Jiyukan
      @Jiyukan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ant grappling does not work against anyone who has a sword and knows how to cut a grappler into two halfs. What was your point again ... you lost me somewhere at "does not work" ... or was it at "grapple" ... I'm so easy confused by idiots who have no clue about martial arts.

    • @JustMe-vz3wd

      Nice opinion. Facts are, many early aikidokas started as judokas but turned to aikido after being defeated and became prominent aikidokas. Everything has its place, bro. stop comparing tennis and badminton.

      @@JustMe-vz3wd That's every aikido fanboy's favorite story but the fact is that's utter bullshit...There is zero video documentation showing Ueshiba putting down any Judokas,or any other martial artist for that matter un his 90 years of aikido practice...All fanboy stories....Wake up.

    • @JustMe-vz3wd
      @JustMe-vz3wd ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexscott730 Sumo wrestler Tenryu Saburo became a student of Morihei Ueshiba. wikipedia "tenryu saburo". Tomiki was a judoka who became an aikidoka. Admiral Miura was a Daito Ryu Jujutsuka who became an aikidoka. All well known facts, bro. Interviews with the people themselves, like Tomiki, Tenryu, etc. For us true budokas its not a matter of "win and lose", its a matter of learning. Tenryu studied for 70 days with Morihei Ueshiba, and after that continued his sumo career. Even the founder of Judo came to the Aikido dojo and said aikido is a great budo. Vice versa also happens i guess. There is no anomosity between true budokas and martial artists, bro. Only HATERS AND TROLLS like yourself try to stir up trouble.
